Sweet! Nice production, very nice layout. I love doing video for the races myself. The lighted building is super cool You should join in the racing action, next race Spring Nationals in march.

Great job on the video and on the track! What kind of setup do you use to hold the cars during the burnout? (And if you're going to add smoke, you really need a little lighter fluid for a fire burnout . . . just kiddin').

Great job on the video and on the track! What kind of setup do you use to hold the cars during the burnout? (And if you're going to add smoke, you really need a little lighter fluid for a fire burnout . . . just kiddin'). Rick V. The main dragstrip is Max-Track... I made a 6" notch in each lane and inserted a section made from a couple MM drag starter sections of track (the ones w/ the rollers). to hold the cars in place I ground out the underside of the 'slot' flush with the bottom of the track and glued on a strip of foam. next I ran a razor down the slot (to 'open' the foam) for a really tight fit on the car(s) guide pin. If you just drive the car through, It goes pretty well, but if you park the rear wheels on the rollers, the car spins. Sometimes the car will eventually drive through... other times you may have to back the car up a bit (watch the near lane car in the video) to get a run at the foam to get through.
