Question for Sam or anyone on narrowing G3 chassi

This is my 4 gear chassis jobs.Need to get my bsrt sitting this way if possible. Thanks

First off, nice detail work on those bodies!

I run narrow tires anywhere from .150 to .175". I'm not aware of anybody selling silly foams this narrow so you'll either have to modify an existing pair or make your own. Modifying them requires a new X-Acto blade, dremel, wheel/tire and axel. It's best to try this out on an old set before cutting into some new ones. Figure how wide you want the wheel/tire and while the tire is spinning, slowly cut through the silicone, foam and wheel. Hopefully you get a clean cut, having a new blade and using light pressure is the trick. After the wheel/tire is cut, get some "Flowable Silicone windshield and glass sealer" by Versa Chem found at Auto parts stores. Apply some to the exposed foam then spin it off on the dremel. Be sure to hold the wheel/tire in a cup when you spin it off because it will go everywhere. Only spin it for about 3 seconds. Let it set up and apply a few more coats. There are other methods and materials used so please chime in if any of you guys have tips.

Here is a Dodge body that I run on a G3 chassis. You also have to narrow up the rear traction magnets. This is achieved by using a file.

Just did magnets for same reason. Cut in half with razor saw, easier to do removed chassis. I did both, once!
