Have any of you traveled with HO slot cars by airplane? Wondering what would be the best way to pack the cars so the TSA doesn't damage them. (Relax Psycho Sam, I'm hand carrying your's.) As much time as is spend prepping them, it sure would be a shame to have them tossed around like they do the stuff in my wifes "toiletries" bag. Just curious if any of you have had any experiences worth noting.

To answer my own question, I put 10 cars in a clear plastic tackle box tray with rubber foam in each compartment to protect them. I wrote on the box "slot cars" in big letters and packed it in the middle of my suitcase. I also carried a couple cars in small foam packed boxes in my carry on. I had no problems with either method. It either means the TSA knows what they are doing or they never looked. You pick your answer.
