After someone asked if this chassis was legal for MM/PS I decided to check it out a little closer. They are advertised as having polymer motor magnets that are 20% stronger than ceramic. Which ones are they talking about? They measured weaker than any ceramic I measured Super G+ and Wizard P2/P3 or Tyco. No I did not use a gauss meter but for a quick reference of magnet strength it is not needed. I used a BRP Magnet Matcher. So IMHO the polymers in the Mega G are no horsepower advantage. The Mega G does have Neo Traction Mags that was stated to be a disadvantage for MM/PS I don't think so. When looked at like the BSRT G3 setup then yes that would be so. However step back and let's put a larger tire on it. It is not a disadvantage it's just different direction. Now to what I have done so far to the Tomy Mega G, nothing that hasn't already been done by someone. First I don't like the brush setup. I modified a set of Wizard Patriot brush tubes to fit. Now my Mega G has adjustable brushes. Next the gear ratio is for road racing. I modified a Tomy Turbo 22T gear to fit and added an 8T pinion. Now for the tires I built a set of Eagle Racing .516s. The motor all I had for the test was an old BSRT green wire 3.3ohm. The result is it is not as fast as either of the MM/PS cars I sent to the race. Why? mainly the magnets and the motor. Could it be made faster? Of course, I am not finished yet
