A FEW ANNOUNCEMENTSFirst , I would like to thank all who participated in helping to
make the 2013 NTRA race year a great success. Special thanks to
all of our Racemasters. Two years ago NTRA was down to one host
track. NTRA was under threat of going into the 2012 race year with
only our flagship track, Lions Drag Strip. A few adjustments were
made by NTRA relaxing host track requirements and a call was made
to the membership asking for hosting tracks. The response was
overwhelming. Several came forward to offer up their time and track
to host an event in 2012. Even more for 2013 race year making 2013
our biggest year yet. To all our Racemasters again, Thank You! To
participating racer/builders, thanks. To our sideline observers and
gawkers (I don't know what you're waiting for), looking forward to
the day you all decide to join us. Until then, I hope you find the
NTRA proxy racing program entertaining.
Five years of NTRA racing and year five's race calendar was a great
way to celebrate. 2013 ends on a high note was a fantastic finale at
Lions Drag Strip. Once stats are all tallied NTRA will officially
close out 2013 with an Awards Ceremony (date be determined), another
NTRA first. During the Awards Ceremony two people will be able to walk
away with one of two Kdog Racing creations. The Kdog Racing creations
were featured in the JUST FOR FUN game. Here is a preview, more photos
will be posted in the JUST FOR FUN THREAD.
Big thanks to Kevin of Kdog Racing for offering up his time and talents.
Now how does one decide how these prizes should be distributed? I had these
cars in my possession since April and still cannot come up with an answer
I am happy with. I am a big fan of random draw, so one car will be given by
random draw made up of everyone that submitted an entry in 2013. The other
one will be decided by you. It will be NTRA's Peoples Choice. You can submit
your nominee along with your reason why by sending PM to ninjatek, use Peoples
Choice as subject. I will accept nominations up to the end of day (midnight PT)
Wednesday 11/20/2013. Submit as many nominations as you think are deserving.
On Friday a poll will open allowing everyone to submit a vote of the top
nominees for Peoples Choice.
Official planning for the 2014 NTRA Race Calendar is now open!
If you wish to host a NTRA event in the 2014 calendar year, now is the the
time to make your desires know. Send a PM to ninjatek with 2014 Calendar as
the subject. If you have never hosted a NTRA event, be sure to include a
description of your track (track material, timed length, shutdown length,
power supply, timing system, etc.). If you are a current or past racemaster
just send PM to ninjatek stating that you are available for 2014 racing
season. If your track description is not in the 2013 NTRA Race Directory
or your track has changed you will need to include a description of your
track. Calendar planning is a hectic time for me and would hope to be done
with it before the Thanksgiving holiday. If that is the case race directory
should be out 1st or 2nd week of December. Let's get it on!
I'm thinking there is something else I'm suppose to include here. Can't
think of it now, will come back to it later.
