Hey Guys, I was wondering if some of you could post a way for me to get more power to the Strip I have. Right now Im using a HIGH PERF. 22 volt wall plug for each lane, but would like to go FAAAAAST....or at least faster. Any ideas?...what to buy?...where to get it?....etc. Running quite a few stock inline cars right now,but want to run inlines that require good power like the G3's and such with balanced arms and bearings and magnets-etc. Also what ohm controllers do I want to use,and what do I need to do if the controllers are alligator clips???...I have stock plug in aurora controllers at this time. Thanks and please help me go faster. Vince

Just thought I would add a quick note....Im using the slot dragon timing system. - 4 gears run about 1.3's and 1.4's.... - t jets run about1.4's to 1.8's... - best inlines running about high .8's and low .9's.Not sure what the et/'s should be does this seem pretty close to normal?

vman I'm running a Mastech HY3010E 0 - 30vdc 0 - 10amp power supply and Parma 60 ohm controllers. Those seem to work best with all the different cars including tjets. That power supply runs between $150 - $180. Also using the Slot Dragon system.

Got my power supply off of Ebay. Searched on the internet till I found the right price + shipping. Happened to be on Ebay. I wouldn't get anything less than what I have, but you can certainly go with something that has more amps for the hotter cars. Mine has enough amps to run anything, but starts getting pushed with some unlimited classes. Parma controllers can be found on Jag Hobbies at the bottom of the home page. Anything less than 60 ohm does not run the tjet cars as well.

Hey Vince, personally I like the idea of batteries (car). Two of these will give you 24+ volts and for our cars unlimited amperage. Can be hooked up with dimmer switch for adjustable voltage. Contrtols I think are mater of preference. As long as both are the same for each lane. I have several controls (Parma) of different ohm ratings. One thing I can say for sure is that the control with the lowest ohm rating gets cars to the end of track faster than the higher ohm controls I have. Something you might want to consider is how many amps you want to supply. A real hot car might draw 7 amps (if I remember corectly, saw a table listing amps drawn by different cars). Soldering heavier guage wires to track for power supply will work better than AW Plugs with their tiny wires (that will never pass high amps if needed). Think about your home, 14g wire 15amp breaker, 12g wire 20amp breaker, 10g wire 30 amp breaker.
When I finally have room for track it will have battery power, heavy guage wires and if plastic all sections will have jumpers soldered to them.
..............Hope this helps.......... Peter
