Hey all,
All the idea's for races sound good. But are just that, ideas for races. Have seen other threads now with mention of simplifying classes. And think this is getting almost necessary before adding anymore rules to the growing plethora of classes we now have.
Posted earlier in this thread idea for such simplification, think this would be an easy thing to do and easy for all to understand and find. Four classes of builds that cover every chassis we have raced applied to all chassis types. Only exception to individual chassis types would be tire size. This would allow practically every class we now have to be utilized and also allows space to add unlimited type builds for every type of chassis.
I do though think that only the stock, modified, and pro classes should have points applied for yearly total. Outlaw or experimental class should be an exhibition type class and not count for points.
The idea of not having host cars being run at an event did not seem fair to me. This when I had more space and hoped to host an event. Seemed as a handicap to any interested in point totals for the year. But I think all have to admit it is leaving the can of worms open towards all sorts of speculation. When host cars are run at any given event.
To rectify this handicap for our hosting tracks, the maximum number of races hosted by any track could be a deduction of the lowest point totals for the same number of races for all others not hosting. Hence no handicap as far as point totals. AND NO SPECULATION.
Think the rules for cars and everything else need addressing. The member's here all seem innovative enough that this should be any easy thing to accomplish. C'MON ALL LET'S CHIM IN AND GET THIS DONE. Lets make things simple for all new and old to the site. Once this is done having exhibition races gets easy. Talking about new classes first before simplifying things is putting the cart before the horse. Only adding to the confusion.
That's my take on all of this, HOW ABOUT YOU ! AND YOU, AND YOU TOO! Lets get going on this the faster the better so we know what the deal is before next season. Oh yea, and you behind the lamp too.
