Hi all, I can supply custom hand wound inline armatures with comm timing to suit any HO scale car - Tyco, wizzard, Mega G as well as Super G+, Turbo/SRT, BSRT G3 etc. They are available in 35, 36 and 37 gauges, rated at 2.0 ohm, 2.5 ohm, 3.0 ohm, 3.5 ohm etc - basically any specification you require. I have recently upgraded to a wire that can withstand 200C degrees (from 155C). A better quality commutator is also now being fitted as standard. Keep in mind that a decent power supply is highly recommanded as well as a better quality hand controller. E.g. I run a 36 gauge armature rated at 2.5 ohm in my G3R chassis and I use a 35 ohm Parma controller. Units ready to drop straight into your car is available from $20 USD (for a limited time) Email me at trust4@live.com.au to discuss your requirements.

I assume the wire is Polyimide Enamel ( ML), high temp, yes? Are your wire tabs silver soldered? What makes your commutator better?

The enamel coating of the wire will not melt off using a soldering iron, it is stripped off before silver soldered. Normal 60:40 solder simply melts off during hard running.
As with the comm, I contacted a commutator specialist, got them to hunt down one of their 'heavy duty' high temp comms that has a working temp of 220C degrees, then had the tooling modified for 'our' 1.5mm shafts. Once it's fitted to the arm, it is tied off with kevlar thread and encapsulating epoxy, then trued on a lathe.

Okay fellas, enough!
A point was made and now the same point is being grossly abused.
Personal and business matters can be expressed through PMs and not in open forum!
Please, no more. The last event of the season starts today and this is dampening my vibe.
