NFC Eliminations Round 3Eight cars have answered the call to the staging lanes for Round 3 of NFC eliminations. We're down to four Chevrolets (all Camaros) versus three Fords (two Mustangs and a Pinto), with a lone Mercury Cougar in the mix. The Escamillachicks have been the surprise of the race so far, but now their Camaro is up against the USA-1 Camaro of Nosubfor3, the No. 1 qualifier in NFC. The chicks leave first by a hundredth, but Nosub powers around them with a 1.063 at 12.07 mph. The chicks run a respectable 1.219 at 9.30. SKR's big cat is on the prowl, and has Sukafish's Camaro in his sights. The Cougar advances to the semifinal round with a 1.192 ET at 9.70 mph to the Fish's 1.347/8.85. If Eagleracing wants to defend his NFC title at the Finals, he'll have to go through Angry Jeff to get there. Eagle puts three hundredths in his pocket at the starting line, and then extends his advantage with 1.074/11.56. Jeff runs 1.226 at 9.87, and goes looking for a bottle of Excedrin. Angry Jeff still has one bullet in his revolver – the Twisted Texan Pinto is up against Doug412's Mustang. The Pinto wins and goes to the semis with a 1.174/10.31 to the 'Stang's 1.275/8.96. So the semifinal round pairings will be Nosubfor3's USA-1 Camaro against SKR's Cougar, and Eagleracing's Camaro versus Jjwallace's Pinto. Classic Ford versus Chevy rivalries in NFC! Racemaster Rick

Gasser SemifinalWe're down to the Final Four in Gasser eliminations at the NTRA Finals. We can guarantee that the winner will drive a '40 Willys. Beyond that – well, let's see what happens! The first pair out is the Slotfather's black-with-flames Willys and Sukafish's yellow Mooneyes Gasser. The Slotfather was the top qualifier, but Sukafish has turned his misfortune in qualifying into an advantage. He's positioned himself to race the Slotfather in both semifinal pairings. The two Gassers stage carefully. At the green, Sukafish is out first by three thousandths of a second. It's too close to call at the finish line – but the computer declares the race in Sukafish's favor by eight thousandths of a second! Sukafish ran .654 at 19.99 mph to edge the Slotfather's .659 at 20.79. Sukafish is in the final! The Slotfather doesn't have to wait long for a rematch. The second semifinal matches his blue No. 16 Willys against Sukafish's black No. 18 Willys. The Slotfather needs a win to keep his hopes of an NTRA Finals trophy alive; Sukafish can lock up the Gasser title with a win over the Slotfather. They stage . . . they leave . . . reaction times are identical! Sukafish is hooked up and pulling ahead – and takes the win! Sukafish runs .626 at 22.96 mph – the Top Speed in Gasser eliminations! The Slotfather stops the clocks at .697 at 20.54 mph. It's an all-Sukafish final round in Gasser at the NTRA Finals! Next up: NFC Semifinal Round. Be there! Racemaster Rick

Man this is great!! Super exciting!! I am literally on the edge of my seat. Couldn't have scripted things any better. Double trouble Slotfather and Sukafish in Gasser and Ford vs Chevy in NF/C. Gotta love it. Exceptional coverage Rick...top shelf for sure. The drivers are on it and doing a fantastic job as well. Good luck to all in the semis and finals. NTRA rules!!

NFC Semifinal It's Ford vs. Chevy in both NFC semifinal races. The first pair matches SKR's fabulous Cougar against Nosubfor3's strong USA-1 Camaro. The Camaro has been the quickest and fastest car throughout NFC eliminations, but Sam's cat is hungry for a win. The Cougar is quick on the lights and leaves first by three hundredths of a second. But Bruce Larson will not be denied, and Nosub's Camaro drives around Sam for the win! The Camaro runs 1.070 at 12.05 mph to advance to the final round; SKR was right there with a 1.192/9.70. It's an all-Texas semifinal on this side of the ladder. Eagleracing and Jjwallace have raced many times before – but never with so much at stake. The Camaro and the Mustang stage – dead even start at the green! Eagle inches ahead, and takes the win! Eagleracing runs 1.091 at 11.52 mph to Angry Jeff's 1.145/11.03. What a drag race! After the cars (and drivers!) cool down, we'll be back with final rounds in Gasser and NFC. Stay tuned!

Gasser FinalIt's an all-Sukafish show in the final round of Gasser eliminations. His Willys have been quick and fast throughout race day. It's a black and yellow final round. Sukafish's yellow No. 19 has to be the favorite based on its string of .60 runs in eliminations. But the driver of the black Willys has something to prove. At the green, it's .041 to .042 reaction times, with the slight advantage to the yellow car. They're side-by-side into the lights – Mooneyes wins! The yellow car takes the trophy with the Low ET of eliminations at .603 seconds, 22.50 mph. The black car runs .635/21.51. Congratulations to Sukafish, 2013 NTRA Finals Gasser champion! NFC Final RoundAfter a long day at Lions Drag Strip, we're down to the last race – the final round of Nostalgia Funny Car. It's another classic Camaro matchup – defending NFC champion Eagleracing against Nosubfor3. There's nothing to choose between them. Nosub ran 1.070 in his semifinal victory, and Eagle ran 1.091. It could come down the drivers to decide the NFC championship. No pressure, right? This is for all the marbles. Nosub stages; Eagle stages. The lights flash, and Eagle launches first by a hundredth of a second! But Nosub is closing fast, his Camaro charging hard at the top end. The winner is . . . Nosubfor3! The USA-1 Camaro is No. 1 in NFC at Lions Drag Strip with the Low ET of eliminations at 1.039 at 12.33 mph. Eagleracing made it a race, running 1.086 at 11.67. Congratulations to Nosubfor3, the Lion King! Darkness is descending at Lions Drag Strip, and it's time to turn out the lights. We'll be back with awards and presentations tomorrow. From everyone at Lions, good night and God bless!
