Thanks for a great job Rick !!!!! Congratulations to Sukafish and Nosub on your wins! NTRA racing on that track, is like the NHRA running the US Nationals at Indy. Just to make the race is a honor !! Now if I could just get the right combination of parts to get a round.

Post-Race ReportAt the conclusion of the NTRA Finals, the winning cars went through tech inspection and teardown. Cars were checked for armature resistance, tire dimensions, wheels, magnets, pickups, and other specifications called out in the NTRA Rules. The No. 19 Sukafish Willys was inspected and found to be in compliance with the Gasser rules, and the race results are now official. Congratulations to the 2013 NTRA Finals champion! Unfortunately the No. 12 Nostalgia Funny Car was found to be out of compliance with rear tire rule (.550" maximum diameter). After consultation with the NTRA administrator, the Racemaster reluctantly made the decision to disqualify the No. 12 Camaro for this infraction. Therefore the runner-up No. 7 Camaro of Eagleracing has been declared the NFC champion of the 2013 NTRA Finals. On a much happier note, we have prizes to distribute! Hairy Canary, the creator of many amazing resin slot car bodies, continued his longstanding sponsorship of NTRA and donated 10 bodies. Hairy's excellent body kits include windshields, superchargers, driver figures, roll cages, headers, and other accessories as needed. These bodies will be awarded in a random drawing of all entries. Be sure to visit www.hairycanaryracing.com and support the sponsors who support HO slot car drag racing! First we have (left to right): '69 Camaro Pro Mod 4-Gear, '68 Barracuda Funny Car 4-Gear, '70 Mustang Pro Mod 4-Gear, '70 Camaro Pro Mod 4-Gear, and Nostalgia Top Fuel Front Engine Dragster 4-Gear. And here are five more examples of Hairy's workmanship: '33 Willys Pickup (T-jet), Super Comp Roadster 4-Gear, Nostalgia Bantam AA/Fuel Altered 4-Gear, Nostalgia Fiat AA/Fuel Altered 4-Gear, and Xtreme Fiat AA/Fuel Altered 4-Gear. Thank you, Hairy Canary! Next we have an Auto World Legends of the Quarter Mile Hawaiian Funny Car donated by Ninjatek. The race stewards have decided to award this car to Phantombse as the top prize for Teamwork. Phantom put together an entry of 12 cars from four racers – many of them first-time competitors at Lions. Great job, Phantom! We appreciate your support. Now for some special mentions. Picking the Best Appearing Nostalgia Funny Car was easy. SKR flat nailed it with his Cat Scratch Fever Cougar. Photos don't do this car justice; it's gorgeous! And Sam's Hurricane Henry J Gasser is a sweetheart, too. Selecting a Best Appearing Gasser wasn't so easy. In fact, we couldn't choose between these two, so they share the honor. Nosubfor3's silver and orange fat-fendered '40 Willys and Eagleracing's silver and blue '33 Willys are both outstanding examples of slot car modeling. The Lions crew also has to give a shout-out to the Escamilla Chicks as the Rookies of the Race. Their Camaro advanced to the third round in the tough Nostalgia Funny Car class in their first appearance at Lions Drag Strip. Well done! That's all for now, folks! Hope to see you all at races in 2014. Racemaster Rick

awesome job as always Rick! Your track is just amazing looking with all that detail. I really enjoyed all the great race commentating and the history you speak of Lions. Sounds like Lions was the place to be back in the day...... just like its now the place to be for all of us guys and gals (to send our toys to).
Thanks to all of the Lions crew and congrats to the winners! I'm looking forward to entering some more races next year.

I am making a formal apology for my lack of detail in not measuring the tire diameter to keep my car in compliance. I am a veteran racer with Nitro slots and in no way was it intentional. I used silicone tires from JAGs #301 stretched over the stock AFX four gear rims never thinking they would be to tall. I’ll have to pay more attention to detal in the future. Congrats to all the contestents and winners. Hope you all understand and can forgive. Nosubfor3 (AKA Vince)

don't sweat it Vince, I for one know it wasn't intentional. Yeah you had some big mph, but who knows? maybe you would have had a quicker ET with smaller tires. Looking forward to racing with you next year.

The haulers are on the way home from Lions Drag Strip. Phyllis the Mail Lady has promised safe and speed deliveries for all.
Hopefully we got the right cars in the right boxes. If you receive somebody else's car -- try it out, it might be faster than the one you sent! Also check the packaging for prizes, because most of the boxes also contain Hairy Canary resin bodies.
Seriously, if your car doesn't show up in a week or so, let us know. We have tracking numbers for all shipments, and can tell you if your box has been diverted to Borneo.
Until next year, Racemaster Rick

Hemi Hunter that Super Comp Roadster is not an Altered and would not be legal in N/TF.
