Welcome, welcome, welcome, to the first NTRA Annual Awards Ceremony.
At this event we will recognize the major series and sub-series winners and leaders for the race calendar year 2013. Also during the event will be the announcement of the People’s Choice winner who was selected by the members of Nitroslots forum in the People’s Choice Poll. The winner of People’s Choice will receive their choice of one of the two cars custom made for NTRA by KDog Racing. The other KDog custom will go to someone who has raced at any NTRA event during the 2013 race calendar. So, if you raced in any 2013 NTRA events you are on the list of possible winners. This is a random draw prize, so put your hat on backwards, cross your fingers, do the icky shuffle, or whatever ritual you do to bring good fortune your way. Stay tuned to see if you are a winner.

Before awards are given out, a brief explanation of how the different series are made up. There are two major series: Combined Sportsman Series and Individual Series (to be changed to Independent Series in 2014). The Combined Sportsman Series is comprised of three sub-series: SPORTSMAN, COMPETITION/ELIMINATOR, and MAGNA/X series. The Sportsman Series is made up of classes that are near stock builds. Comp/Elim classes invite some experimentation with limits. Magna/X series employ the principles of Sportsman series and Comp/Elim series and applies them to the Magnatraction and AFX chassis. The Individual Series is made up of two sub-series: PRO and INLINE series. The Pro Series consist of classes that range from moderate build skills to unlimited anything goes extreme builds. The Inline series which currently only runs a single class plus bracket racing (2013) uses moderate skill building with inline chassis. With this mixture it was hoped that no specific sub-series gave anyone an advantage when in pursuit of capturing a major series victory. Individual Series is lopsided in favor of 4G builders, over time something will be worked out to more evenly balance out Individual Series sub-series.

So the program for today will go something like this. Awards for Points Champion and Top Eliminator for each of the sub-series will be issued first. We will start with the sub-series of Combined Sportsman Series. Then move on to the sub-series of Individual Series.
Then there will be a brief intermission to allow you to stretch out your legs. Upon return comes the announcement of the People’s Choice winner. Also to be announced will be the winner of the random draw for one of the KDog customs. The event will then conclude with the issue of awards for the major series; Combined Sportsman and Individual series.

(Cars come with stock unmodified 4G chassis. Rear wheels of Pro Mod Chevy cut to fit under fender.)

MAGNA / X SERIES winners.
The 2013 Magna/X Series consisted of Street and Pro Street classes using AFX/Magnatraction chassis. There were three races in this series taking place over two events.

Your 2013 Magna/X Series Points Champion is Darius with a final total of 213 points.
Honorable mentions in this series include: Sukafish 186 pts; jimrussell 155 pts.

Your 2013 Magna/X Series Top Eliminator is Darius with a record of 5 - 1 (.833).
Honorable mentions in this series include: *Sukafish 5-1 (0.833); sjracer 4-1 (0.800).
*(Note- Much effort was put into the scoring method to avoid ties but in this case it did not happen. Sukafish is equally qualified as this series TE. As he will be recognized as TE in another series this top honor goes to Daruis.)



COMPETITION / ELIMINATOR SERIES winners.
The 2013 Competition/ Eliminator Series consisted of Gasser class using T-Jet chassis. There were two races in this series taking place over two events.

Your 2013 Competition/ Eliminator Series Points Champion is Sukafish with a final total of 153 points.
Honorable mentions in this series include: Slotfather 134 pts; doug412 127 pts.

Your 2013 Competition/ Eliminator Series Top Eliminator is Sukafish with a record of 6 - 1 (.857).

SPORTSMAN SERIES winners.
The 2013 Sportsman Series consisted of Stock, Super Stock classes using T-Jet chassis and Nostalgia Funny Car class using 4G chassis. There were six races in this series taking place over five events.

Your 2013 Sportsman Series Points Champion is Ninjatek with a final total of 284 points.
Honorable mentions in this series include: 79malibu 280 pts; Phantombse 205 pts.

Your 2013 Sportsman Series Top Eliminator is Ninjatek with a record of 9 - 5 (.643).
Honorable mentions in this series include: 79malibu 9-6 (0.600); jjwallace 5-1 (0.833).



INLINE SERIES winners.
The 2013 Inline Series consisted of MM/PS class using inline chassis plus scoring from Bracket Racing. There were three races in this series taking place over three events.

Your 2013 Inline Series Points Champion is Phantombse with a final total of 160 points.
Honorable mentions in this series include: Eagle Racing 107 pts; SST1610 105 pts.

Your 2013 Inline Series Top Eliminator is doug412 with a record of 7 - 3 (.700).
Honorable mentions in this series include: SKR 6-1 (0.700); rockonx2 5-2 (0.714).



PRO SERIES winners.
The 2013 Pro Series consisted of Doorslammer, Modern Funny Car, Nostalgia Top Fuel, and Top Fuel classes using 4G chassis. There were eight races in this series taking place over five events.

Your 2013 Pro Series Points Champion is Eagle Racing with a final total of 572 points.
Honorable mentions in this series include: jjwallace 512 pts; jimrussell 309 pts.

Your 2013 Pro Series Top Eliminator is Eagle Racing with a record of 19 - 4 (.826).
Honorable mentions in this series include: jjwallace 17-4 (0.810); jimrussell 9-5 (0.643).

Well, we're back for the second half of the 2013 NTRA Awards Ceremony.
And now for the first order of business.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE

First let me remind you who are the 2013 nominees:

Escamillachicks – Rookie racers; 1st females to win NTRA class; Doorslammer event champion.

Doug412 – Rookie; has entered every 2013 NTRA event; hosted exhibition Outlaw Hearse event; cool parting gifts for non-winners; adds another level of crazy to the forum and the races.

JJWallace – hosted two events in 2013; class winner in 1st international race; always willing to help others.

Eagle Racing – always willing to help; innovative thinking progressing NTRA race program.

Kiwidave – going above and beyond in hosting first international NTRA event from New Zealand; presenting first all video race coverage.

SKR – forum creator; one of founding organizers of NTRA; we all know one another because of him.


Of course all of our nominees are well deserving of the recognition, but only one can win. With 37 votes submitted the winner managed to capture 30% of the votes. Edging out Doug412 by 2 votes, the members of Nitroslots forum have voted SKR as 2013 People's Choice. On top of starting Nitroslots forum, helping organize NTRA, producing killer customized cars, he is now creating modified chassis that is a work of art with attention to detail like that of a watchmaker. Congratulations Sam!!! Whether you voted for him or not, everybody stand up and bang your hands together.

As the People's Choice winner SKR is entitled to first choice of either of the KDog custom cars.
