Bracket racers,
This weekend a NTRA proxy bracket race will be held. Each car will
make a series of runs to establish an average ET for your car and determine
which lane your car runs best. A percentage is added to the average to set
a dail-in for your first round. From that point on the Dial In Tool will
calculate dial-ins for the remainder of your rounds based on the DIT numbers
supplied by you. If you did not supply DIT numbers a percentage determined
by the Racemaster will be applied to your average and used throughout the
elimination rounds.
After the runs to determine your average, the times will be posted to allow
racers to alter their initial DIT submissions, if submitted. Once times are posted
racers have a period of time determined by the Racemaster to submit or alter
DIT numbers. When the time period expires this thread will lock and no further
changes to DIT numbers will be allowed. Submitted numbers will be applied to
the DIT and the race will follow some time afterwards.
Racers should use this thread to submit DIT numbers.
Three numbers are required to set up the DIT: start percentage; regression
factor; and regression stop.
Start percentage: the initial percentage number applied to time in first round.
Regression factor: number used to lessen percentage applied as rounds progress.
Regression stop: the minimum percentage you wish to have applied to time.
When submitting DIT numbers use one of the following formats.
Entry #XX (number of car to apply DIT numbers)
3.00; 1.00; 1.00 (start percentage; regression factor; regression stop)
Entry #XX (number of car to apply DIT numbers)
3.00, 1.00, 1.00 (start percentage, regression factor, regression stop)
Entry #XX (number of car to apply DIT numbers)
3.00 - 1.00 - 1.00 (start percentage - regression factor - regression stop)
Entry #XX (number of car to apply DIT numbers)
3.00 * 1.00 * 1.00 (start percentage * regression factor * regression stop)
Review this tread to get idea of how DIT works.
Any questions should be posted at same thread.
