Thanks for the quick response. Is there a reason MM/PS and T/F are not running at 26v as they have in the past? Just curious. Thanks again. I'm sorry about the mistake,I will be running at 26 volts.I fixed earlier post as well. |

Would a Mega G qualify as a MM/PS ? Not sure about t/mags. What else qualifys ? Patriot, not cutting posts of only one I have.....anybody else ? Have various Tyco's, but all will be slower than G's. What about the cars before the G's, I think before. One's with the can motors. Not sure of the name.
Need suggestions as to possible chassis for testing mentioned.........

Found the cars, Tomys - Turbo & SRT. Had to look them up. SRT (picture found) has metal t/mags. Similar to those in Mega G. Guessing both may be neo charged. Anyone know for sure ?
Have what I think is Tubo, same motor as SRT. Different t/mags, look carbon (poly ? ). Will see if I can find 3ohm for it.
What about a LL-M or Roaker (spell ?), anyone ever put a factory 3 ohm in one? Have MRT 3ohm for same brush configuration,, not sure if it would work.

Peter,BSRT makes an arm for those and they have a complete motor too.
I wonder if that arm you have would work in a Super3. Been wanting to hop up the one I have.

Hey Tom, Turbo, I have is 3ohm checked it earlier. Been a few yrs since touching it. Will try advancing w/out breaking down can.
Have to see about body for it, lexan McLaren and posts have been removed.
Light bulb went off, LL-M's have no t/mags. All down force is from motor mags. Have to see what I've done with them.

Turbo just needs putting back together. Had to break down can, to get advance. Think I got about 10 degree. Refaced comm w/1200 grit. Waiting for elec parts to dry from ultra sound. Keeping step shoe, wear pattern is perfect on both shoes. Also will leave independent front and slip-on rear as is. So not to alter pick-up contact. 8t pinion stock crown (haven't counted).
Submitted, how does this one sound for testing ? Have not seen much response for testing........ will try to find traction mag that could work in Mega G. Think neo's may be stock. If so they are weak, cars will not stay on track through turn w/poly traction magnet cars. Is there such a thing as ceramic grade neo's ?

If the arms are the same size.....MRT should work. Think they can be had for either N/S or E/W brush set up. Just found a 3.5ohm for $6.- something. Lucky Bobs, under Tyco 440x-2 parts......... E/W brushes if that would work in Super 3 ............................. Peter |

Thanks Nosub, for the info & link. Never would have guessed about the m/mags being poly......... cars sure don't act like they have the magmets described. Or perhaps the poly motor mags are a ceramic grade poly.
Hype in add, is just that. Picked up a 1. 5 & 1.7 to check them out (3yrs ago). It would be hard to think of an inline that is not faster and better handling right out of the box. IOM, the Mega G's are on par with LL-M. A car with no traction magnets.
Definitely a let down after looking them over. Maybe to AW also, and thats the reason for no parts.

Needed to add, really did like look of chassis. Thought it was a design that might even change the industry. AW dropped the ball on this one, IMO. Been waiting for something new, maybe someday AW will pick-up the ball and do something with this chassis. Untill then the Mega-G will only be a novelty. Nice bodies though.
