Ninja, Put me in for one Pro Street and one MM/PS. That would be one Super G, Not with a timed armature..... just a better endbell design that other mfg's.

Jeff, ......... weeding out trouble...... lol........ sounds like a good idea..... quick once over, could keep things like tire size from getting someone DQ'ed. If someone gets the DQ after a finals win, win goes to other finalist. But cars have been eliminated along the way by the car that has been deemed illegal. In order for it to get to the finals. Not fair to those that have lost to this car........... pre race could eliminate this................. Peter

Yes Peter...we do the same thing. I was just curious what Tom is checking in case I want to incorporate something he is doing into what I am doing as well. I am always interested in what and how the other Racemasters are conducting their races in an effort to improve my own. We also check the cars for any obvious performance issues without being too invasive......mostly just pick up shoe adjustment. I guess while I'm at it......since our tracks are similar what do you do for track prep as well? Really looking forward to the race. Friday can't get here fast enough.

The hauler left yesterday with the cars all tucked away safe inside. Am a little worried about the motor in the hauler didn't sound to good when it left. I gave the guy's my AAA card just incase. Good luck to all this week end.

Phantom....What does your pre race tech inspection consist of? Thanks. Things like make sure no traction magnets on Street or Pro Street. Check weight on MM/PS and add it if needed. Follow care instructions for cars. Check to see if any tire clearance problems against the body or chassis. Just to name a few of them.

Hey Jeff, race at Doug's was outlaw of sorts. So nothing really to check on cars. Cleaned pick-ups & tires before racing started. And between roounds. Cleaned track and rails in between rounds. Think to check tire size, a template or slightly oversized hole in.......... a tongue depresser......... tire that fits with little play would be good....... tight or doesn't fit, no good. Going through all the cars eats up time. Thought this would help speed things along. Other than tire size any pre- race is sort of limited to a visual inspection.

Thanks Tom and Peter....that's about what I thought, but if I don't ask, I don't get any feedback. I have been cleaning my track with 409 and it seems to be doing a good job. I will use scuff pad for the rails periodically, but the 409 actually does a good job of keeping those clean as well. I really like your idea of metal in the shut down area and I haven't done it yet, but will be adding some metal strips under the track in my shut down soon. Such a simple idea, but I can see it's effectiveness. Thanks again for the quick response.

Hey guys, just got back from St. Pete. Saw that Jeff, mentioned metal srips for shut down. If this is to aid cars in slowing, another thing that can be used is magnets. All those magnets being collected because they don't match, could finally be usefull. Might also be more effective than strips of metal. If run-off has rail, I would go with magnets. But that is just my thought on the matter. Ideally, I would prefer a run-off that's long enough for cars to stop on their own. But space needed for this is usually not available.
The amount of space for run-off would probably dictate which method of slowing I would use. Keeping in mind that slowing should be as easy as possible within allotted space............ Peter
