What an incredible day of 1/64 slot drag racing on Hank’s Wizzard ¼ mile track at Skippack PA. First, I want to thank all the competitors ; Tony S, Joe L, Ed S, Bill (psycho), “G” money, Tom, Darryl L, John F, MAC, Cordell, Kelvin, Jim P, Hank and alpink(ME, LOL). Great camaraderie, sportsmanship and , most of all, FUN. Everyone exhibited a great desire to get down to racing after a long cold winter. There were quite a few really close races and it was good to see cars that were so close competitively. Joe L had the only perfect .400 light of the day and had nickels rained upon him, a local tradition that started with bracket racers and the .500 sportsmans tree. There were two newbies, Tony S and Tom , welcome Tony and Tom. A few recent racers; “G”money, Joe L and Bill returned. Mac returned from a long layoff. All the folks we have come to regard as regulars and help in various ways to support our events. The help I saw these guys giving each other in tech and needed parts was extraordinary and shows what good sportsmanship and fun can be had while still being competitive.I certainly like to win when I enter and managed to do so in the slowest and fastest classes. I insisted on keeping the plaques but handed down the race prizes … LOL. We do hope to see a couple absentee guys that are considered regulars return and always welcome new racers. While we realize that nearly everyone has experience with some sort of racing events, we encourage everyone to try our drag racing one time, you will at least get lunch and possibly a door prize. … LOL …
We certainly wouldn’t be able to keep having these fun events without the support of such a great racing community and I want to thank and congratulate all that attended.
pic soon

Thanks guys, where is alpink, phantom, 79malibu, I know sjracers face. Who is Camel he has not raced with us has he? Part of having a username is to allow anonymity. So I chose to identify myself only figuring the others would do so if they wanted. draglstyltskyn is aka alpink. Camel is fourth from right, grey sweater, black hat. I have been friends with Camel for over forty years. I don't think he will mind my identifying him. He has only raced once in Street class, but is becoming a regular at the events in Skippack.

Unfortunately, due to a rescent procedure on my spine, I was unable to attend this event! I am highly disappointed that I was not able to be there and meet some of the guys that have been very faithful and loyal customers. Figures, health problems suck!!!! I will get to meet you guys at the next event, I promise!!!

Thanks Peter, that means alot! People just dont understand. If Im not standing in front of them with a gaping gash, or a compound fracture, they just cant understand why you have pain! Can't see it? You must be ok!!!
