New power supply came today. Adjustable 0-10 Amps and 0-30 volts. It seems like certain cars benefit greatly from the new supply while others it has little effect on. Well regulated, very small voltage drop of .2-.3v when the cars put a load on it unlike the old Aurora supplies which would drop down to 12-13 volts when a 2 car load was applied. So far the faster cars have benefited the most as the G+ cars easily clipped the old best time. New best is down to .708 which is almost a tenth faster than before. Have not gone over 20v so far but that will not last long. It's like adding nitrous to my race cars, I was still more conservative with that than most of the guys I knew. Never hurt even a spark plug once I learned the proper way to run it, while others were melting pistons.

Dave, that is identical to the power supply I am using and it is very clean. priced right and delivered quickly. curious, when you wired your track, did you place the "common" wire to the rails from the positive or negative? I have my "common" from the positive and the negative is regulated by the controllers.

The common wire is directly to the rails. I have no controllers, just a switch to each lane since I just run full throttle. The price was very good for this unit, as you mention, 79.99 including shipping. This is about 1/2 the price of similar units I have seen. Delivery took about a week. By putting the control on the negative side, as you have done, the load is slightly lower on the controller which is probably a good idea.

which polarity are you considering "common"? in autos it is traditionally negative.

Yes, the negative side is common or ground.
