Dog Day Eliminations Saturday August 2 2014
Let me first thank Tom Peterson and Jim Panick for their excellent assistance on putting on my first proxy race under tight conditions.
Next, a really BIG Thank You to the Sponsors and prize contributors; Eagle Racing, pceng, ninjatek and alpink.
Many of the cars ran perfectly well. A few needed minor adjustments and oiling which were attended to by the hired drivers. A few cars had very loose screws and had to be repaired to continue the race. Unfortunately, after qualifying, it was discovered that a STOCK entry had an independent front axle and was DQed. We ran it against its scheduled opponent anyway and the ET would have eliminated it anyway. I would also request, in the future, only PLASTIC guide pins. Metal guide “flags” didn’t improve the performance and may have damaged the slot in my track. I don’t make the rules and really do want to have a fun event, but I must be responsible to adhere to the guidelines as put forth by NTRA in the interest of fair competition and fun for all involved.
