startimg to get my track up and running some of the rails have some very fine rust spots what can I use to clean it up? thanks for the help.

Mac don't know about the rest but some 3M wetdry 400 should work. Just make sure and keep it on the rails. I would lay some masking tape to each side of rail to protect track. After that keep it wiped down with 409.

Theres a few options depending on how much rust there is. You could go to your local hobby shop, look through the train section for an abrasive block used to clean the rails or you can try a Scotchbrite. If you do the sandpaper wrap it around a block of wood and you probably won't need to cover the track with tape.
