OK racers here we go. First racer to arrive for the event was Hairy Canary. His team wanted first pick of the pit spots. These cars are beautiful as usual and he brought along lots of goodies as well.
Not very far behind was Doug412 and his motley crew. Doug is always early to arrive at a Bear Creek event. We usually have to set aside a special spot, but Herpie the Dirty Love Bug did not make this trip. Track and State officials are relieved.
Last to pull through the gates but still in the first group to arrive are the Kiwi's who had to make the farthest trip. I personally was very glad to see that they made it on time. We had haulers scheduled to meet them at the airport as soon as they came off the cargo planes.
Welcome to Bear Creek Dragway!!

Four more race teams arrived today. The pits are starting to fill up now.
Pceng pulled in first loaded to the hilt with cars in all classes and some match race entries as well. He's got some new cars that are looking good. They look anxious to get after it.
Not too far behind him was TGM2054 and his guys. Looks like they will be running strong in the Street class. He knows what's at stake. That N/TF has seen Bear Creek before.
Right on TGM's heels is KS1933 with his full lineup of cars. These two are Iowa boys and they look like they mean business here in Texas. KS has been challenged by one of the Kiwi racers in a Match race. We know those guys are tough, but he looks up for it.
Last team to pull through the gates has come all the way from New Jersey. SJRacer is the name and spoiling the Street Class is going to be his game. You top runners need to be heads up for him. That blue Corvette has won here before. Looks like he's brought a couple of TF cars to do the same in that class as well.
Welcome to Bear Creek Dragway!!

That FED of mine, don't count on it for anything, I just sent it so i could say it made all the races. Had a new one planned but the body never showed up. Bondo sent it out but it never got here, bummer cause I had plans for it. Looks like Street is going to be tuff. There isn't a slouch in the bunch! Glad to see SJ made it (why do I feel like I'm going to regret saying that).

Only one arrival today. Darius rolled in with his two cars. He is a local racer and race sponsor (Boneyard Racing), but we haven't seen him in awhile. Welcome back!
Only a few racers left but they are a good chunk of the field. I will be ready for the remaining cars tomorrow. Pre qualifying will begin after all boxes are checked in. Only 1 day till eliminations!!

Well there was only one arrival today. Phantombse and his crew pulled in this morning with a full load of cars.
Phantom's group arrived in a convoy. They've had a long trip from northeast, but his guys didn't waste any time getting the cars off the trucks.
Right behind him was Stinger and her N/TF and TF entries. That group looks serious!
Coming up the track service road behind her is Hemi Hunter and Draglstyltskyn and their cars. Hemi Hunter has brought an N/FC for his match race with Flashdrive from N.Z.
Welcome to Bear Creek Dragway!!

Man I always hate this. Late arrivals are tough for me because I want everyone that builds these cars to be able to race. Looking at the entry list we have 5 racers that have not arrived yet. Unfortunately we are going to be very busy for the next 2 days and are on a tight schedule. Here is how this is going to work. Street and Top Fuel class eliminations will run tomorrow. Street will run first followed by TF. Any Street class cars that did not arrive today will not be eligible to run. I will stall (if needed) the start of the TF eliminations as long as possible without getting behind in hopes that I get some arrivals in the mail. N/TF will run on Saturday so there will be no problem with those. Any cars that do not make it by tomorrow unfortunately will not be eligible to run any classes this weekend. We are looking forward to a great and competitive event! Good luck to everyone!! Thank you.

uh oh, not looking good for my cars. Just checked tracking. expected delivery was today. No additional info after it left Colorado. Well I guess that's what I get for having faith in the USPS. No excuse, I could of shipped earlier. Hopefully they will arrive along with everyone else tomorrow.
Thanks for giving us an extra day JJ. I look forward to the racing action this weekend as a participant or a spectator. Good luck racers!

Beast was scheduled to arrive yesterday but something went wrong a couple days ago in New Jersey. I suspect Beast may have escaped from its container. Saw a breaking news story about special forces conducting a search in the Jersey Pinelands, but no explaination was given. They must have been successful as tracking now shows Beast as having arrived in Texas around 6:30 this morining. . . . you all may resume being affraid.
