Peter I've got some numbers for you. Hope this is what you needed. I ran both the DBR and the Tyco (6) runs each. Oiled them up before running and checked pick ups. I tightened up the mesh on the DBR because it was slipping. DBR Lycan Match .672 .673 Testing .652 .652 .647 .643 .653 .653 Tyco Match .671 .622 Testing .650 .603 .587 .594 .608 .611
Thanks for posting #'s, Jeff.
From the first #'s, yesterday's race times..... I was pleased wiith times. Lycan, first in case others are unfamiliar with it.
DBR , Lycan - ( found on Lucky Bob's site ) silver electric (brushes, springs, tubes, pick-ups), 3.5 ohm, matched ceramic magnets, urethane tires (rear). 33.- (I think) thought this might be a cheaper approach to building a MM car. It is based on the Tyco HP chassis. The car was left as is. The times are very consistent. The first passes, the .67's were the first the car ever made. Bushes getting seated probably accounted for the drops in time. But once again were very consistent. IMO, impressive for right out of the box at that price. Times could be dropped for the price of gears. Comes with, and was run with 7/24 gears. A 2.6 ohm green wire (wiz), could be another.possibly way of lowering times. Magnets could be changed, braids added. But if you go ahead and replace everything inside...... might as well just start.with a Tyco chassis. And save some $. I am impressed with the consistency of the times....... move over bracket cars, new kid in town.
Tyco - 440x-2 wide pan, this was set-up as a MM , in part. Don't remember if braids were used. 8/22 gears, .454 tires, lvl 4 ceramic grade poly mags. Used same 3.5 arm as in Lycan. Like Rob, pointed out adjustable brush tubes help. Think I did put them in car. But as with Lycan this car has also never run. From the times posted being all over the place, I think the brushes were loose. I shorten my brushes out of habit (greater range of adjustment), and these I set where I thought they should be but apparently was wrong. I could see 2 tenths improvement, my reasons being these - braids, 2.6 ohm arm, brushes adjusted correctly.......... if brushes are loose this alone could could be .2 sec. Looking like something else for that thing in Dec I don't want to think about...... lol

Congratulations to all of our winners!
I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the race action this weekend. The track looking good, cars running fast, and, great commentary and photos to bring the action to life. JJ and crew of Bear Creek you guys did a great job. Thanks for running our cars. As always sponsors came through with some great contributions. Big thanks to all the sponsors! And of course a big thanks to all of the participants. You asked for more racing and you have come through with great participation throughout the year. Hats off to everyone!
There are still two events remaining on the calendar. Hoping you all will dig down deep and go all out for these events. Again points are on the line to wrap up the Combined Sportsman series. Also to be determined is who will be the Outlaw Top Eliminator. So take this week to catch your breath because sign up for Curse of the Hearse II opens September 13.
Thanks everyone for being a part of NTRA Proxy Race Program. Hope you will continue to support and participate with NTRA. Gawkers, if this event doesn't make you want to join in the racing fun, I suggest you have someone check you for a pulse.
