I was talking with Kdog about pit boxes and thought that a thread dedicated to pit boxes and shops would be fun. Part of the fun going to any event is the bench racing that takes place in the pits along with sharing/checking out the cool stuff in your buddies box. I got my box at Harbor Freight. It's a machinist box. It retails for around $75. I waited until they had a sale when you could get 25% off any one item to save a few dollars. There are 6 drawers this size. 2 for small tools, 4 for cars or whatever. Felt covers all the drawers. Also the pull out on the bottom is a good place to rebuild a car without having everything roll away. 2 Big drawers on the bottom. You could fit 15 Dragsters in here or up to 25 cars. More tools and the Drac at the bottom. and the collection of decals which overtime has cost more than the box.

Very cool all the stickers, been trying to read them all !
Picked up same box not long ago for aesthetic purposes when I saw pic someplace here.
Dragged a metal box around for years full of taps dies and such. Emptied that and gave it to Doug.
I must be getting lazy, have a plastic tackle box for travel. Just switch two plastic trays got enough tools to leave them where they are.
back to the stickers...... Peter

Hey Sam, Meant to ask about controls in pic...... I've seen some with the chokes but all the circuitry in controls now is new to me. Have old Parma's with small toggle switches I put in for on/off brake switch. ...... Peter

Those are nice! I've got 5 or 6 of those. My uncle was a gunsmith so when he passed they were given to me. All full of tools and such.

I've been wanting to get one of those for about a year now. I'm using an old tackle box I've had forever. This is probably just the tease to get me to go get it. Very nice Sam!! I like stickers and those are some REAL nice ones! Thanks for sharing.
