Thanks for holding the race, enjoyed it, and all the pictures sure keeps it interesting. Anybody remember the Munsters address? It was on the back of one of the race cars! Thanks for giving up the prize Pete and sorry for the smash at the end but I never was a good loser. Surprised that heavyweight Caddy did not bust something. Looks like the race was close, that always makes it more interesting. lol... The Munsters went back to the old country and Rolling Dead Racing moved in! 1313 Mockingbird Ln. has interesting features for a base of operations. Plus the added benefit of the DRAG-U-LA being so at home here! Race On Doug412

Hey all, the cars that came to race were entertaining themselves before the racing started. And more so when the racing started ! Rat rods were flying from the start. Think I lucked out on RT's one round and got past SJRacers Willy's. Thought he was the favorite judging from pre race testing. Most of the sled races were close also. But there was more of a difference performance wise. Cars seemed to be in either of two groups. One obviously faster than the other. One thing that stood out between these two classes and individual cars performance was tire size. Cars with larger tires did not fare so well. The Rats that had large rears were getting more lift at start and were all over the track. The Sleds were spinning tires. Perhaps being longer and weighing more helped keeping them on track. Cars with smaller tires definitely did better. Perhaps because of a short track, quick was better than fast. The Hearse were once again a diverse group as for chassis. Think there were 12 different chassis. Not knowing what was in each build makes it hard to compare any of them. What won this class was a green wire Wizard Storm (poly mm).......two cars were surprising for different reasons.......... one an AW Super III, was much faster than I expected it to be and did well (hope I can get the two I now have to run as well). The other was a BSRT G3 with spinner arm. This chassis may have been wanting of more power but was hard to tell. Slightly larger tires would have helped on this track. T-mags dragged at times judging from the lines on t/mags that were not there before race. Think this is what kept it from winning all. Did a couple of passes that were blistering. Believe this car was sent by , Mike (mike11422). If Mike, cares to ? What kind of motor and traction magnets were used ? Don't think the m/mags were super strong, because drivetrain was loose. And car was quick out of hole, no hesitation. T/mags were strong and.may have been lifting rails. Several times we rolled the rails, but drag seemed to get worse as rounds progressed. Increasing tire size for cure is only a guess. Magnets could be to much for plastic track with joints.
If any would care to send me PM's with build specs, I will post a list of chassis & specs for each chassis. Think a comparison of all the different chassis would be helpfull to all.
......... Peter

Peter,
My entry had a 36.5 BSRT spinner, traction mags were level 10 polymers along with level 10 polymer motor mags. I did ponder the thought of higher tires but wasn't sure how "light" the rails were. I checked it on my tech block and it wasn't going anywhere. It was good to see it make to semis thou. I actually thought about swapping the polymer traction mags with ceramic but didn't have any spares sitting around and didn't want to pull apart another car plus time was a factor.

I remember the movie Munster go home where they raced the Drag u la in a sports car race against Jags, etc. It was a fairly funny movie from way back when. I believe it had a small block Ford in it. Must have ran pretty good as light as it was, even with the coffin.

Peter, mine was the magna traction. It had a 6.8 ohm mean green arm and stock mags with a 14 tooth arm gear and two 9 tooth pinion gears as idler gears with a stock cluster gear on the top plate and a 19 tooth crown. Something I have been fooling with and wanted to try it.
........Thanks, Dennis
