Started a chassis build from scratch with a bunch of parts from BSRT.
Getting the motor magnets in was a lot of fun as were the pins that hold the rear axle in. Broke the tiny drill when it was in the chassis and had lots o fun getting it out. Runs well and it will make an appearance in the next inline modified race.

My eyes are terrible, do you have a build/parts list?

Did not have a build parts list. I went to the BSRT site and ordered all I thought I needed as they do not come as a kit. I was short a couple of parts and had to put in a second order.

What type of arm is that? If it is a spinner arm from BSRT it my not be legal for MM/PS. Ok for bracket if that's what your building.

It is one of the armatures they run in the car they sell as a complete chassis. I intend on running some inline modified races, along with an inline stock class, in the coming season where the rules will be more liberal. There are certainly too few races for this type chassis and that is the chassis that is sold in 90% of the cars currently on the market. I might also run a run everything bracket race if the schedule permits as my system will permit a dial in.I have no idea as to what is legal in MMPS, I ran the last race with a couple of stock chassis..

Hey Dave, All the parts look intresting ...... hard to tell what they all are. Can you give us a breakdown on the parts or your intentions for build ? ? ? MM/PS are 2.6 min ohm min. ceramic grade motor magnets , poly traction. Anything else pretty much goes. Check Tip section if your intrested. Good build list and suggestions from Sam (SKR). Usually referred to as a 3 ohm class the 2.6 min allows cars with brush tubes to run Wiz. green wire arms. Good class for builders to play, arm and mags keep price from going through ceiling. ....... Dave are you saying you are going to run those races as a Racemaster or race in them in 2015? I think the new rules format is going to allow for more inline classes to run...possibly. I still have a couple of key questions on the actual racing format for 2015 that have still not been answered. I am curious about your statement that inlines are 90% of the chassis being sold currently. Where did that number come from. That sounds pretty significant if it is accurate. I did not think it was that high. Did you read that somewhere? Thanks.

I will have to measure the arm to see what it reads, I don't think it is under 2.6 but I am not sure. It cost 20.00 and comes balanced ready to go. Magnets are for drag racing and once again I will have to look at the package to see what it is. I think they are level 10 Poly for both motor and traction. Most of the parts are just stock BSR. Stiff chassis with magnet clip, stiff adjustble endbell, stock pickups, pickup holders, hardened steel axle, front wheels and tires, stock rear wheels and rims. My intentions are to run a Top Cat inline class with limited rules, along with a stock inline class. I wanted to build one of those chassis from the ground up, that is why I did this. As you can buy a similar one ready to run. These do not have brush tubes as they use an endbell with brush's mounted to arms. It took about 2 hours to assemble not counting mounting a body or the pain in the butt axle retaining pins which require a tiny very breakable drill. That is one part I wish the holes were pre drilled for.

I did not think it was that high. Did you read that somewhere? Thanks. I plan on being a Racemaster for some events this year if scheduling permits. I have the facility to run any type of event including a bracket race. The 3 gear AFX and AW style chassis has also been left out of racing and I would like to hold a race for those also. There are many thousands of those cars available used, on line, for very low dollars. The 90% is a guess, nothing to back up that claim, but it comes from looking at what is available from different manufacturers.

Building a g3 had something on my mind........duh, remember now.
Last g3 and any future I build will have a , DeCosmo T - bulkhead with adjustable brush tubes. Cost is about the same. Aside from the advantage of adjustable brushes. Changing brushes is way easier when not having to remove bulkhead to do so.
Just personal preference.......... Peter

That sure makes sense to me. I did not know about the DeCosmo T bulkhead. Where can I find out about them?

Peter can guide you better on those items.

What do you use to align the holes to be drilled in the side of the chassis for the brush tubes? I butchered one Decosmo bulk head already. Came out way off center. Don't want to destroy another. That sure makes sense to me. I did not know about the DeCosmo T bulkhead. Where can I find out about them? T - bulkhead replaces end bell and timing bracket in G's. Similar to Wizard or Tyco bulkheads. I too got mine from Lucky Bob's. He also has DeCosmo chassis. Vince, holes in chassis are for set-screws only. Tubes fit inside chassis walls. ........ Peter
