after everything that happened last week I decided to sell everything related to ho drag racing. last week my mother-in- law passed away and while getting ready for her funeral my mother called me and said my father passed away and to add to it I have a 2cm spot on my brain and I have to have my head operated on and do not know how is going to affect me after it is over. I have a 0-30 volt power supply,20 lengths of afx 15 inch straight track, bag of chassis, storage case of axels, pick up shoes, magnets, arms, and a bunch of other stuff. I have 2 cars for each class for nitroslots and 2 cars for als races in skippack along with a bunch of bodies, and a slotdragon timing system. my wife wants to move to florida and my brother-in-law owns a real estate agency and put my house up for sale. I made a lot of friends over the years on this site and got a lot of good tips and tricks so if anyone is interested in anything let me know thanks.

Mac, It will all work out for you. Please do not make any snap decisions on your hobby items unless you REALLY think you must. I went through almost the same thing you are going through last year. Lost my Mother last Dec 27 with many trips back and forth between Dallas, TX and Florida prior to her passing. Prior to all that my Father passed. While dealing with my Mother I went in and out of the hospital 3 times! When all this started to hit me I just wanted to throw in the towel and get rid of everything I had! Like I said do not do it unless you have to for sure.Things are going to work out and you will regret parting with all those wonder toys. Prayers for you and yours are taking place from a lot of us here at Nitroslots.

Mac I am sorry to hear of your losses and your current health issues. I would definitely make sure before getting rid of everything. I am sure you have your reasons and you will be missed here on the forum and the races....mine for sure!! I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor in 2008 and had to have surgery to remove it. To make a long story short....everything turned out fine and I'm sure your situation will be the same. These little cars have helped me to cope with some difficult times in recent years. Good luck to you and yours.
Jeff

What the others are saying makes a lot of sense. You need something to be involved with and keep your interest. Getting rid of your interests is probably not the way to go.

Mac My condolences to you and family on your recent losses. I agree with Jeff, Allan and Dave give some thought before giving your hobby up. I truly believe a hobby or interest in something is a great therapy. Hang in there it will all work out.
