Well last guess was best guess. Peter wins it with his 9.7 mph guess. All were pretty far off since this is a new game with different criteria. This is a pretty good running stocker and it was entered in a race this year where it was #4 qualifier as it hit over 11 mph at 13.8 volts. On this run the speed was 12.15 mph with an ET of 1.0822. It has run over 13 mph on this track. Current standings: 1. Pceng 10 points 2. Mike 9 3. TGM2054 8 4. Eagle 7

Next car: 69 Camaro body. AFX 3 gear chassis with the bigger/long magnets, stock gearing, mean green arm, poly mags pulling 20 grams, stock are around 8-10 on my scale, no shunts, stock pickups, Eagle tires .300w x .420h. This is one of my better running AFX 3 gear cars and it will most likely run in the upcoming Outlaw race even though it is mostly stock. Results will be posted on the 4th.

when you say "longer magnets" do you mean TALLER? like in the Aurora AFX MagnaTraction or AW Xtraction chassis'?

Yes, the ones the extend thru the chassis to help hold the car to the track.

Next car for the MPH guessing game is a 57 Corvette. It is one of the older G+ style inlines with .250x .430 stock sponge tires, 8/21 gearing. I believe it was called a shifter because it has a 2 gear setup in the rear. The second gear has no way to engage so it has no effect on performance except to slow it down with the additional rotating weight. All else is stock including pickups, brush's, springs. This is a decent running stock car and is quicker than most of its kind.

just a note for clarification. the shifter sets came with special controllers that reversed polarity when shifted and allowed the armature to rotate in opposite direction and engage the other crown gear. both crown gears are set up on a sort of ratchet to allow it to not engage when pinion rotated "backwards". and like a multi speed derailer bike, the large gear is "low" and the small gear is "high". so, may I ask ...... which gear is being driven in present set up? thank you in advance for your kind consideration. al
oops, never mind about the crown gear. you did say 2/21 rear gearing. that is the large one thank you
