I tried the Wizzard car with bushings and bearings on the arm. Took my finger and rotated arm with both. The arm rotates a couple times with bushings and rotates 8 or 10 times with bearings. So far I really like the bearing setup on it. Only time will tell. I didn't do any running with bushings in so not sure if it helped performance but I deff think it helped with friction and wear

Definitely run better with than without but the difference is slight as my tests have proven to me. When I get my 30 amp supplies I will be testing the high mph cars by adding BB to them.

Hey Dave, I've seen the difference you pointed out as being only a slight one. Have been thinking about bb's. By chance did you try different crown gears ? Like a 21t compared to a 22t. Or 23t. Been bouncing around my head....... a gear change might be called for.

For those looking into ball bearings here is where I have been getting mine for some time now.
I found this source to be the least expensive of the many out there and have been please with the products so far.
AVID RC

Thanks Alan. What size do you usually order I know the inside but not the outer diameter. I just told him what I wanted them for.

Looked at the AVID site and there does not seem to be anything we can use for HO. Smallest inside diameter I saw was 3/32, approx. .100. ID for HO bearings .059 is less than 1/16th. 1/16th, roughly .063 is used for Aurora style bearings . OD on motor bearings for inline motors is about 5/32 or .155.

Great service, price, and they are fast. The size you want is 1.5mm x 4mm x 1.2mm. That size seems to works for most HO applications for me....at least up to this point.

If I was able to attend those races I would give it a try too. With 2 batteries in parallel and a pair of chargers keeping them at peak. I am sure I could go a lot faster. I would not send that type of car to a proxy race however. Seeing how hard they hit the catch box going near 60 there would have to be a large shut down for those cars. 20-25 feet would probably be OK and they would still need a catch box.

Its not really a proxy race in just gonna send to slugger and let him run it. He gave me info for what he uses for his cars its actually not that expensive I have $140 in my Wizzard car and i can build a car from the parts list he sent me for his a little over a hundred. But what gets expensive is they only run a arm a couple of times before they cut it down so for me that is out of the question since i dont have a lathe.

Will do al. I'm talking to him and Steve Geary. I really thought there would be alot more custom parts in those cars but what I'm getting from slugger is there is alot of parts bought straight from bsrt. Realm supprises. I was figuring it would be like $300 or better to make something like that. I'm going to try I figure if I'm gonna get my but whipped I might as well get it done by them haha

I got a bunch of 1.5mm x 4mm x 1.2mm from AVID RX last year and they were a $1.00 a piece! Thought that was a good price. Maybe better out there somewhere else now. Look at bottom of home page under bears and then on left side under metric.

Lewis, I am running a couple of funny cars that ran at Steve G track and they are made up of stock parts over the counter mostly from BSRT. They turn some wicked fast times. Yes will will pass the $100 mark for them but no where near $300! ALan
