Alan I forgot to look under Metric bearings. They are there under the 1.5 x 4 x 1.2mm size. Very good price too. Some places hit you for 10-13 dollars just for one bearing. BSRT parts are what I used for all of the fast cars I built. So far I have no found a chassis better suited for drag racing.

Dave, I feel the same on the G3 chassis. I have already tried the new Viper and although it is very nice I have managed to break the magnet clips. My big concern is the availability of the G3 chassis. Looks like Lucky is out of them last time I checked and the BSRT site is listing them as discontinued!!!!!!!!!!! Hope Gary has got something in the wings.

I bought a couple of Viper chassis too. They are a nice chassis but for drag racing they cannot match the BSRT so far. They do not offer a stiff chassis however. Lucky Bob has discontinued some of the BSRT products since they will not give him a discount. You can go direct to scale auto and buy them like I do.

Alan I will look into that site. As far as the g3 I talked to Gary a couple weeks ago he still had the stiff chassis. As far as the price on the cars that estimate is for the list slugger gave me that he uses. If this thing would let me post pics I would screen shot it. So far I really like the Wizzard car. The chassis is a stiff chassis and I really really like the big foot brush system. My only problem with them so far is that wizzard is hard to get low ohm arms from. Seems like they don't keep them stocked up and wont wind you one unless there winding a bunch. I really wish I could find someone to do some winding or explain it better to me so I can try it. Slottech has them but Tony is super high compared to others. Is there a way to use the bsrt spinner arms in Tyco timed cars can I change the timing some how. I unwound a Tyco arm tonight but I screwed up putting it back together I broke the wire and just did it with what I had. I had two plates that were good and a dead plate on the com not sure what I did wrong. Going to try another tomorrow. Should I roll wire around a pencil when I'm unwinding it. The 3.5 ohm has 140 wraps lol alot of little wire for a half blind man lol

Lewis, It is all what you feel comfortable with. I have a few of the high powered G3 cars that run at Dr Hoe and a couple of Wizards and Slot Tech. Yes Tony is high priced but I can tell you the old saying you get what you pay for has not changed! Of all the arms i have played with over here on Maple Groove the only ones I have not burnt up have been the Slot Techs.
I have a bunch of his blank arms now and will try and put a wind on them some day.
Regarding winding - - - - - - practice , practice , practice, take notes and only change ONE THING AT A TIME. This will fine tune your notes. If you change more then one thing at a time you will rapidly loose track of what you have done.
Take it from the old man! ME!

To switch the timing to the BSRT arm you would have to move the brush or commutator 90 degrees, not an easy task since the comm is epoxied together. With the other method the brushs would have to be moved to the top and bottom of the motor. I like the parallel to the ground adjustable brush setup too but I cannot fault the BSRT setup. After many passes with those cars I have had no failures in the brush or armatures. The only problem I have ever had was breaking off the brush when installing the armature. I have had more failures with the stock 6 -16 ohm pancakes than the much hotter BSRT setups. Alan if you think you are the old man I was fighting Dinosaurs when you were a toddler.
