I just noticed that the current race spoke of lowereing minimum voltages during qualifying to accommodate some cars that were not set up properly and could not get down the track. Although that is unfortunate for the cars that are having trouble, it is very potentially a disadvantage to those that did set their cars up for the voltage and track to be run on. Minimum voltage is 18v for X2 and X3 builds. Racemasters are also supposed to give ample notice of voltage changes before race. Now I don't have a dog in this particular race and I did not post this on the race thread out of respect for the Racemaster. Those are house rules being applied on the fly and don't want everybody thinking this can be done. The rules are very clear on this and Cordell spoke on changing voltages before a race at the beginning of the season.

JJ is correct about the track voltages however in this case the track voltage was set at 18vdc for the X3. Only one car was unable to make it down the track and came out of the slot right off the line or 12" from the line. I lowered the voltage to see if the car would handle a lower voltage and it did not. The car was DNQed.
The entire qual session for X3 was set at 18vdc and the event will run at 18vdc.
Thank you
Alan

Just a suggestion Alan, roll the rear tires through some dust and get them a little dirty. This allows the tires to slip with a little spin and hook up. If it works great if not you tried. I've seen this happen a few times and sometimes this works. It is better than DNF.
