So in the road course world there is a brewing debate possible movement to shift most rear end setups back to slip-ons in all but a few classes. It may take a year or 2 to fully happen, but it looks like the powers that be are listening to the racers. In general the new breed of slip-ons are truer with regards to sizing and obviously there is a cost savings (minimal, but there), but it seems that the real reason is availability.
I am not here to say what I feel is better or worse as I will run whatever I need to. I do know that silli's can be witch's brew for some and the selection and where to get can be confidential to the secret handshake society. Knowing what we know today, what is the general feeling as to limiting a sillifoam setup within the majority of Sportsman classes?
