What do guys think, or have anyone use the power supplies they sell on eBay? 0-30 volts in 2, 5, or 10 amps. I know some of you are using 20-40 amps. I don't plan on running any high power cars, mainly T-jets, AFX, and 4 gear cars. The factory transformer is only 800ma, less than an amp. Starting to collect the equipment to build my 1000ft.

I have one of the variable 30 volt .. 10 amp supplies that are numerous on eBay. they all appear to be made the same, so choose the best bargain for you. others do like more amperage, but I don't run "unlimited" much anymore. for races that my buddy Hank has, he uses two 12 volt automotive wet cell batteries which provide nearly a thousand Cold Cranking Amps

I have a Mastech M#HY3010E 0-30v 0-10a that was purchased on Ebay ($150) and I have been using it for the last 4 years without any issues. In fact it has performed flawlessly and I would recommend it to anyone. I have run all types of builds including some "milder" unlimited builds. I would not go with anything below 10amps though if you are going to run anything more than stock builds.
