I'm going to start playing with different gears on my inlines and was wondering what you guys do as far as setup/break-in and also what gear materials are best for drag racing. Quicker makes some wicked looking metal gears but I'm not sure if they would be good for a drag car or not. Just looking for any info or advice on this...

Dano here are a couple of links to some great tuning tips that will help you out. You can adjust these tips to whatever build you might be doing. Gearing and tire size.....for me anyway....is a car to car thing. Each of my cars seems to like something different. My builds of all classes generally use a 7t or 8t pinion and 21t - 24t crown gear. Tire sizes could be anything....trial and error or a great night of tuning at the track is what is needed to determine what works best. I love to get out and fire up track and tune some cars. The links reference a Mountain Motor Pro Stock build that is one of the favorite classes that we run in the proxy races. ninjatekprojects.com/PDF/MM_PSBuildUpPt1.pdfninjatekprojects.com/PDF/MM_PSBuildUpPt2.pdfThis and much much more tuning info can be found in the blue bar at the top of each page in the Archives. It is all the way to the right side of the bar. Hope this helps.
