Ok so years ago I purchased a simple drag timing system from trackmate and I'm now just getting around to making a track. My questions if others could chime in. Do I go with HO or 1/32? I heave enough room for 15 feet of track. Need to know which scale offers the most in options and parts? If I go with HO I need some help selecting a make like tyco or others and parts list from www.slotcarcentral.com/ or another preferred vendor initially to get started. Just looking for fun with ability to build up cars. Thank you STG

Welcome to Nitroslots STG. I have had no experience with 1/32 but I know it is much more expensive than HO. This forum promotes HO scale drag racing and there is a wealth of information all over the place. There are also a huge number of vendors out there for HO. Check out the bottom of the main forum page for a few. Jag Hobbies, Lucky Bobs, Viper Scale Racing just to name a few. You have come to the right place for sure. Many members have years and years of experience and are more than happy to share. With only 15ft of space to work with you might consider a scale 1/8 mile setup. That would still leave plenty of room for shut down. I have been running the Trackmate Basic system with IR emitters as the light source for about 3 years now. It is a good solid system. We also run proxy drag racing events throughout the year with classes that have varying degees of skill levels. The Spring Nationals are this weekend and are also running our version of Pro Street Outlaws. Check it out for sure and give it a try in the future. Keep us updated. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Welcome stg,
Given the amount of room you have I'd go with an HO track like Jeff suggested. As far as parts and cars, it really depends on what you want to run. You can find rules for classes we race HERE Also take a look at "tech tips" towards the bottom of the forum page for some tuning help. Take a look around and let us know if you have any questions.
