I need some feedback on the Super tire sizes that would be most popular. I already told Nick that the AFX .474 size is a popular size.

I agree with the AFX .474, and how about 4 gear .510. Maybe look at the current classes and legal tire sizes we run?

Thanks for the input Dave. I will make note of the .510 size. I do not know if he makes that size but I will check.

That is great news on the sponsorship Dave. I have never used the Super Tires....can they be stretched over a larger rim? I notice that they have a .510 tire, but it measures .510 on the larger rim. I have not found a lot of large diameter tires out there for the 4 gear TF. Two sizes I would like to see would be the AFX490 (.490 on a .250 rim) and the TOMY458 (.458 on a .250 rim). The .490 stretched over a 4 gear rim would make it roughly .570 - .580. Thanks Dave and to your sponsors as well. It's great to have another tire source....don't know how I have missed them?? They have been added to my HO bookmarks. I will be sending them some money soon

Thanks for the input. I am keeping track of the input and I will see which tires are the most popular. I will be limited on the amount of different tires I will be able to get.

Yes Dave I am aware that the .510 measures .510 on the 4g rim. I think that is Super Tires replacement for the stock 4g tire which measures .510 - .515. The stock 4g dragster tire actually measures around .620 but is hard rubber and useless to me. There are no larger diameter replacement tires out there for the 4g rim. I run a larger tire on some of my hotter 4g builds, so what I do is stretch various size Jel Claw and Jags "S" series tires over the 4g rims to get the diameter I want. I am not familiar with the Supertires so my question was........Can the Supertires be stretched over a larger diameter rim? If so.....then the AFX490 (.490) tires that are made for a smaller rim would have a diameter of around .570 - .580 when mounted on the 4g rim. I love the size and match up charts on the site. Very helpful. Thanks.

I understand. As luck would have it Nick had sent me a set of .490 tires to test for the last race I held. I stretched them on to a Dragster rim with no trouble. The final dimension was .560. They should work well on a dragster. The width of course is a lot narrower than the dragster version.
