I would like to suggest an increase in the PSO members list to 10 as it is on the TV show. I think it would increase interest.
I think there is already a 2 call out per event limit which sounds fair to me.

We did kick around the idea but didn't think there would be enough interest. I'm willing to give it a try to see if we can get to 10. What does everyone else think?

There seemed to be several in the Shark pool last time who would join and maybe a few others might like it once the list opens up a bit. Like you said we need more opinions.

Top 10 and a shark pool would be great. This being a brand new class interest will dictate the size of the list. We are still ironing out the class and the rules. The original idea was a top 10. Hopefully we can get there one day? Also we hoped the class would get people with AW tracks to join in and hold racers but I think the speeds have already exceeded plastic hobby type tracks! I don't think I could safety run the cars on my track because of the speeds they are running now!

I guess we could see some more interest, but we would lose the shark pool. At least for a little while. I feel the next question coming is to allow 2 cars per racer, especially if there are open spots on a 10 car list. I am not in favor of that. In reference to Kiwidaves comment on the cars being so fast now......I guess I am partially to blame for that. I suggested the addition of braids and then because of the braids the cars needed magnets and wheelie bars........and.....and. The braids were meant to give consistency between tracks and not have Racemasters adjusting pick ups as much. That was my thinking anyway. I always want to go faster and have the cars more consistent but don't want to exclude any tracks. I feel that cars and their speeds right now are still manageable, but that would be a track owner call in the end. I'm pretty easy and will go with whatever is decided.

PSO list will now have 10 positions. Until we get enough racers the lower spots will be vacant. As mentioned, the shark pool will go away for awhile until 10 spots are filled. This class will remain 1 car per person. Get the word out fellas, the list is growing!

Sounds good. At least we are giving it a try. I personally think it will promote interest in this type of racing. My race is promoting a separate PSO class for this type of car which means there will be more cars available. Some can do double duty. I don't think the speeds are unmanageable for plastic track. I ran cars at 30 MPH on regular plastic track with no problems as long as I had enough stopping distance. Jeff I also like to go faster and the mods to these cars are all low cost and easy to do. A wheelie bar, traction magnets and braid would all cost less than a dollar per car. I really like the modifications that are allowed as they do exactly what you say, make the cars more consistent on different tracks for very little cash. I rarely have a deslot with this type car.
