Rob at Superjet Slot cars has just come out with a line of drag slicks for AW 4-gear chassis. He sent me a pair of each type he is producing. They are pretty sticky like Jel-Claws, but come in the same size as the Auto World dragster tires. He has them in three flavors, Hoosier, white and yellow lettered Goodyears. They are $3.75 per pair, a bit more than Jag hobbies was selling the Auto World dragster tires for. In my opinion, they are worth it and look and work great.

Good to know and thanks again for sharing. There are not enough large diameter tires out there for the 4 gear rims. I will be making an order.

I ordered some of each of those tires. also four aluminum 1/48 hubs for 3/32 axles. be aware that 4 gear wheels fit the axles for original Aurora O-gauge(1/48) axles and these tires will really look good on those cars.
on another positive note, a friend who went to the Parsippany show today reports there were a bunch of new vendors and a lot of NOS Aurora stuff at very reasonable prices. so we might be witnessing a resurgence of our hobby!

Parsippany, is that in NJ? It's encouraging that new products are being released.

You will love the tires, thanks for the O gauge tip and that is definitely good news about the Parsippany show.

What is the mounted tire size? Will they fit any size rim? ID? OD?

What is the mounted tire size? Will they fit any size rim? ID? OD? Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I just came across the question. Not sure on the ID or OD, didn't measure them. He makes them for the 4-Gear wheels and I believe they are the same size that comes on the Auto World dragsters.

Racers these tires are made of Urethane rubber. They will true and can be reduced in diameter simply by sanding. Now it takes awhile to sand them but hey it will work. The 1/32nd racers have been doing it for years.

I watched a video of 1/32nd tire razor (it is a sanding tool) they used 1500 grit. This gives a real smooth surface. I am going to start out with much coarser paper first say 600 and work into 1500. Just have to experiment for best and fastest way to get job done. They also used 10 volts of power to wheels to sand with.
