I lost the location of wherever I got the tiny cluster gear screws I use on some of my 3 and 4 gear cars.
They measure .045MM wide and 4.5MM long, pan head with phillips drive.
Anybody know where I can find such a part?

McMaster Carr, do a search, I think an .080 screw, not sure of length.

Jag hobbies has the original rivets if you want them.

Thanks, .08, which is the smallest McMaster has is a little to wide as the screw I have which measured .045. I have some of the rivets but they are difficult to get the cluster gear tight enough but I have done it. It is much easier to adjust with the screw.

I'd be interested in getting some screws also. I'd like to give it a try.

Found thread on SCI awhile back talking about this. The guy did a write up. McMaster Carr P/N91771A054 18-8 Stainless Steel Phillips Flat Head Screws, 0-80 Thread Size, 3/16" Long. He also said 1/4" length would work. I have never tried the screw, but have known about it. I've always "peened" the rivet from the bottom to the tension I like then put a drop of super glue on it. Holds up well for all builds except the unlimited. Dont even use the stock cluster, crown, or conventional set up on that one. None of it would hold up for very long before grenading.

The ones I have are an exact fit, once the rivet is removed they fit the hole in the cluster gear and the top plate perfectly. Nothing hangs out the bottom of the plate and the screw fits flush. With the screw set and no slop I have been able to get the plastic gears to live in the 3 gear cars when running at 20V no matter what I have done to them. At 26V or with the 4 gears it may be a different story. With the Unlimited Inlines that has not been the case. I have wiped out a bunch of plastic gears with them no matter what type of plastic gears were tried. The 60+ mph cars have brass gears.
