Probably a dumb question but do you guys keep the traction magnets in or ditch them? Seems like they would slow a car down more than they would help or....?

It is possible to put to strong a traction magnet into the cars. However in about 98% of the cases I have seen traction magnets improve the ET of the cars and even the MPH most of the time. Try this if you want to prove it to yourself. Take a pair of T jets with mean green arms and decent Dash motor magnets that run pretty close to each other. Add a pair of dot magnets to just one of them and watch what happens. In my experience the magnet car will pick up about .5 second and about 3-4 mph. The only case where I saw a slow down was when I put a pair of Neo traction magnets in a G3 car. Those monsters are so strong you can barely pull them off the track and the drag is excessive.

T-jet,AFX Style Inline?? Like Dave said. It is possible for two much down force.I just purchased two AW 4 Gear chassis with two traction magnets. With both magnets in,the cars were so slow I could crawl to the finish line upside down on my back faster. I wound up removing both magnets just to start testing different things to improve performance. The traction magnets pop in and out very easy.Remember, Test-n-tune,Test-n-tune,Test-n-tune

IF you have a video of that race I would like to see it.
