I bought a Mega G+ just to test it on my track and see how well it runs. I matched it against my fastest Mega G. The Mega G+ has a can motor. It ran OK. I did add some braid to the pickups on both cars which usually picks up performance some. The magnets in the can motor seem weak and the 60' time showed this. It runs OK hitting 16 mph in .768 seconds. This is slightly better than average performance for inline cars. This Mega G is my quickest and fastest of that model chassis. Normally the Mega G runs similar to the Mega G+ but this one runs better than normal. The Mega G won this race easily but normally it would be closer. I have not tried modifying the Mega G + chassis but it seems stronger motor magnets would be needed.

The mega G+ came 2 ways the early ones had a inline arm a lot like the Mega G. I heard from a shop owner that their was a law suite over someones kid getting burned when he touched a hot arm after running his car. Tony decided the can motor would be safer, anyways that is the story the Dog heard. As far as hopping them up one of the fastest inlines the Dog owns is a Mega G+ he got from Harden Creek slot cars (HCSLOTS) on eBay, he sells a full line of hoppup parts for most any inline car as well as complete ready to run chassis. I added a photo to show the 2 completely different versions of the Mega G+ 1.7 chassis, only the wheelbase is the same it was a complete redo notice the guide pin placement, and even the pickups are different. I like the chassis as it is so narrow you can put almost any body on it Here is the super narrow 34 Ford by Super Jet the 1.7 Mega G+ chassis fits on, the Dog added the custom vizor to complete the Rat Rod look. This chassis is the 2.5 OHM HCSLOTS chassis very cool to see this rod do an under .5 run
