Was in the process of getting the 4G cars up to the 25G minimum for Bear creek which in these cases was adding 3 & 4 grams. I admit I was grumbling about having to add the weight but I was surprised by the result. It actually helped on one of the cars, the quicker and faster of the 2 why??? MPH was identical on the best passes between the before and after but the ET was slightly quicker. I believe the difference was because the 60' time was slightly quicker as the extra weight must have gave a little more traction which resulted in a better ET. The other car dropped off slightly in the ET department while MPH was almost the same. The different body style may have been the reason for this as I was able to put the weight in the area I wanted it on the quicker car.
By the way I used the as suggested poster putty to add the weight. It sticks to the body pretty good and you can form it to fit. I also comes out easily after the race.

I've seen some cars improve after adding weight. Could be the improved traction from the extra weight or the car might not be lifting at the hit allowing the shoes to stay planted? Anyways I'm glad it's working out for you. When I suggested we add 1 gram to our local Mountain Motor Pro Stock class (21 to 22) there were grumblings because it slowed everyone down about a hundredth. No one had heart failure (to my knowledge) and it actually tighten the field up a little since some of the cars that struggled making the minimum weight of 21g were now competitive.

The quicker car actually picked up .01 and the slower of the 2 lost .01, MPH remained the same as I stated, and yes I like to grumble.
