RACE FORMAT AND SCHEDULE
Welcome to the 2017 NTRA WINTER NATIONALS. We are at the early spring time of year here and temperatures cool. Track temp will be around 75 - 80 deg for the duration of the race. We have had a fantastic turnout for this event! Thank you to all that sent your cars. We have two racers that are expected to show up today, so we will change the format to accommodate that as best we can. This will be the projected racing schedule and format for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. (if necessary). Cars will be qualified by running 1 run in each lane and taking the best time of the two. Placement on ladder is based on qualifying time. We will check cars, pick ups for cleaning and contact, and clean tires before each run. We only oil as needed. Any special instructions supercede our normal procedures.
Friday's schedule: Super Stock, Doorslammer, and Stock Inline will be qualified first thing this morning. Results will be posted followed by 1st round ladders for Super Stock and Stock Inline. Doorslammer ladder will be posted tomorrow morning. 1st round Super Stock Eliminations will run next. Then Pro Street Outlaw Call Outs. We will see where we are at that point and end the day with some Match Racing or Stock Inline Eliminations. Sounds like a full day to me!
Saturday's schedule: Doorslammer ladder will be posted. Doorslammer eliminations will run first....followed by PSO Round 2....then Stock Inline. The day will end about the same as Friday. We will assess where we are and finish up the Match Races and Stock Inline. Another full day!
Sunday's schedule (if needed): Any eliminations that have not been concluded due to running long on time will be completed followed by closing comments.
That's about it. Thanks for sending your cars. Pro Street Outlaw and Super Stock Tjet track records will be set this weekend. We've got some work to do now. The track is in great shape. Lanes are running even, so there is no advantage either way. Anyway..........enough talk........let's get this thing going. Good luck to all the racers this weekend!!!

Race 1 Kiwidave gets the holeshot and runs close to his qualifying number, but it still isn't enough. The Willys of Hilltop's drives around him and turns the win light on. Hilltop .450rt / .884et to Kiwidave .429rt / 1.007et Race 2 Eagle makes it look easy and leads from stripe to stripe. The ADR car was struggling today, but they will get it tuned up and be back stronger. Eagle moves on .846et to ADR 1.254et Race 3 This one went like it looked on paper. Dave632 slowed slightly but still had enough to take the win. Clyde could only watch as the Camaro got the holeshot and stretched the lead down the track. Dave632 .803et to Clyde's 1.427et Race 4 Marz4545 needs a miracle to get past the Lucky Charms car of Nosub. He has to push the light but goes to far and brings on the bottom bulb. Missed a perfect light by.002. Nosubtakes the win but blows his gears in doing so. Both cars have been promoted to spectator. Lucky Charms wasn't that lucky today. Nosub 1.252et to Marz 1.180et Race 5 Gymi gets the holeshot but that's all he can do. Jim Russells Avenger drives around the Chevelle and turns on the win light. JRussell .793et to Gymi's 1.174et

Race 6 This could be a close one as it looks on paper. Eagle's driver gets out first on Bluesguy and never looks back. Eagle improves on his time and looks strong going into Round 2. Bluesguy will be back faster. Eagle .776et to Bluesguy's 1.018et Race 7 Hairy Canary hammers the tree and goes wire to wire to send 79malibu home. 79malibu hurt his gears on this run and will need some work before running again. Hairy Canary .771et to a 1.769et for 79malibu Race 8 This was an uneventful race that saw the faster car take the win. Hilltop's Camaro runs a solid .841et to the 1.159et of Marz4545 Race 9 Hairy Canary will get the Round 1 win on this one but suffers major gear failure. Bear Creek is taking it's toll on gears this weekend. Clyde's Ford F100 tried to hang in there. Both cars will be on the sideline for the remainder of the race.

Race 10 Hilltop is taking on the #1 qualifier....let's see if he can get it done. The lights drop and SKR gets out on the Willys. Both cars slow slightly but it's still enough for the Nova to get it done. Hilltop is headed for the RV. SKR .687et to Hilltops .911 Race 11 Eagle chops down the tree and that's where it ends...but not because of the holeshot. Dave's Camaro has issues and slows dramatically. Eagle moves into Round 3. Eagle .822et to Dave632 .980 Race 12 The slick blue Charger of Ecbill's gets a bye run due to gear breakage in Nosub's Lucky Charms Vette. He uses it as a test pass and goes to the 3rd Round. Ecbill .722et Race 13 Nosub is late leaving and let's Jim Russell get out on him. The '57 is running hot on the big end though and reels him back in for the win. Nosub .709et to Jim Russell .795et

Race 14 Eagle needs a holeshot and he nails it! That's all he could do but it's not going to be enough. The Biscayne is strong and drives right by the Chevelle. JJWall .667et to Eagle .780et Race 15 Jim Russell is going rounds today.Hairy Canary has something to say about that and cuts a great light, but the Pontiac power is just to much and the Willys is headed home. Jim Russell .752et to Hairy Canary .767et Race 16 Hilltop needs to put JJ behind him from the start and does just that. The big block Ford power shows as the Tbird goes by. JJ wins .675et to Hilltop's .831et Race 17 Hairy Canary's Camaro could not make it to the line due to gear issues in the previous round. Dave's Jungle Jim Camaro gets a bye and a free ticket to the 3rd round. .733et

Race 18 Qtr Finals Eagle's Daytona gets a huge holeshot, but I think SKR just wanted it that way. The Nova is on a roll and drives around the Mopar for the win. SKR .665et to Eagle .733et Race 19 Qtr Finals Great race....both cars leave together and its close till just past 60ft. Then the power starts to show in that '57. Nosub moves on and Ecbill goes home. Nosub .705et to Ecbill .739et Race 20 Qtr Finals The Biscayne runs another solid number and moves into the semis. Jim Russell's Pontiac slows on this run and is headed to the trailer. JJ .669et to Jim Russell .772et
