Today is Match Race Day at Bear Creek Dragway!
We only have a few to run so it will not take very long to do. I will be awarding The Best in Show a little later and I will post pictures of some of the stand outs of the weekend. I was not able to post any arrivals like I normally do. Just ran out of time. A lot of prep went into this race. I will update the current PSO list and post as well as populate the new list for 4 Gear Outlaw. Then bring closure to the event. So with that being said....the track has been prepped and it's ready to go. Thanks for all the good word! It is appreciated!

Final day of a great weekend of racing. Well done and nice coverage. I have one match race car in the mix, the nuclear yellow banana. It survived it's 26V test here but who knows. Quite a few of the DS4G cars went out with gear trouble.

At the line now is 2.5 Inline @ 22v Race 1 Gymi vs JJWallace Gymi put out an open challenge with his "Midnight Rider" Charger.JJ was one of two racers to accept. They stage and they're gone. JJ is starting to pull away when the Charger goes into severe tire shake..deslots..and rolls several times. JJ is long gone for the win. Believe it or not, Gymi is ok and ready to try again. JJ .483ET Gymi deslot Race 2 They line up again in opposite lanes. The leave tied together. The Regulator starts to pull on the Charger again when the same thing happens. Gymi shakes rattles and rolls. JJ wins in two. JJ .452et Gymi deslot

Robert congrats on taking the bike match race again.
Jeff we may as well make it #3 at my race as even though I said no match races earlier due to all the events at my race. No doubt I was a little lucky today as those cars are extremely close. I must say that the 2 30 amp power supplies on my track will make a huge difference as these cars draw a lot of power. Both dragsters will run a lot quicker and faster, mine was in the mid 4s and mid 30 MPH range when testing here and I was getting wheelspin off the line which most likely helps save the gears. Just a little tire cleaning with a damp cloth was worth about .03-.05.
JJ congrats on your 2.5 wins, Gymi had some bad luck there with 2 deslots. 2.5 super comp will be a full class at the next race.
I must say that as the speeds increase how the tires are glued to the rim starts to become very important. I would recommend
silifoams where they are allowed and in the unlimiteds they are a necessity. I found nothing else that will hold up when speeds go
over 40 mph.

Gymi's "Midnight Rider" almost made it to the floor in that last race. It was violent. I'm not going to run him again for fear of damaging the car. I believe the slip on tires are expanding and causing the crashes. It has left the slot down track on every run. JJWallace and Ecbill will complete the 2.5 Inline Match Races.
Race1 JJ vs Ecbill The cars stage and the lights drop. JJ gets out on the Corvette and doesn't look back. The Regulator takes the first win by 4 lengths. JJ .467et Ecbill .511et Race 2 Lane swap on they're ready to do it again. This time Ecbill chops the tree down and leaves on JJ. The Regulator is hitting on all cylinders today and drives around the Corvette at mid track. JJ wins Match in two. JJ .481et Ecbill .524et

Last Match Race and Race of the event. This one came about after Super Stock had completed. Dave632 challenged 440GTX to a Ramcharger Coronet vs SS winning Corvette @ 18v.
Race 1 Dave632 vs 440GTX The Coronet trees and puts a gap on the Corvette. 440GTX is running better today. The car was getting faster as the day went on yesterday. He gets the first win. 440GTX .810et Dave632 .877et Race 2 Dave leaves first this time. The Chevy has a good 60' but the Hemi powered Mopar has other plans and drives around for win number two and the Match. Congratulations 440GTX on the Match Race win! 440GTX .805et Dave632 .835et

That my good slot car friends is a wrap! We have had a blast running the cars this weekend. Thank you all for entering and sending your cars! I am going to take some pics of several of the sweet rides that were sent to Bear Creek for this race. There were some real beauties. Friday and Saturday were long but I am happy with the results. There was some epic racing that went down in all classes and lists. It will continue in Tennessee next month at the Smoky Mountain Dragway. Hope everyone had a good time and enjoyed the race. Be sure and visit our sponsors and let them know they are appreciated!! Thank you!!

Oh man!!! I appreciate the Best in Show, but there were so many good looking cars entered... Would have been difficult for me to choose one... Guess I need to find an engine/chassis tuner if I'm gonna try this again... Again, thanks for all the pics and announcing, that was cool as heck... And yes, thanks to all the sponsors and track officials for all the hard work...RM
