Is everyone seeing and alert from Photobucket plastered all over the site?
It appears as if everyone that used it for posting pictures has the alert in their post.
Regards Alan

I used Photobucket early on and my post are still ok. So it's not affecting everyone....yet. What a mess! The one that is bugging me the most is the Facebook badge on the left side of the screen. Sure am glad I switched to Flikr years ago. I ALWAYS had trouble with Photobucket.

I'm well aware of the PB issue and will be doing some clean up this weekend. Let's hope flikr doesn't do the same in the future.

Yes sir.........I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully they Flikr won't. I can't imagine this is going over very well with Photobucket users. Seems to me that 3rd party viewing is one of the main reasons for using a service like that?? Sam thanks for getting rid of the Facebook badge.

Photo bucket started for free, than a yearly $25, the way I read it they now want $400 per year, Dang seems a bit steep. it took a bit to figure out imgur.com but it works and free for now.

I'm playing around with imgur.com as well. So far so good. Much faster uploads and posting.

Wow....really?? Even though I don't use PB I went to see how much the subscription was, but I couldn't find it easily. That told me something was up. That is a crazy price increase. Seems like more and more places are doing that kind of thing these days. They get you committed then throw something like that at you. Have not used or heard of imgur.com. I will save it as backup, but I have no reason to stop using Flikr right now. Thanks Kdog for the info.

I looked at Flikr but it required a Yahoo email account. Nothing against Flikr just couldn't be bothered with another email account! If you do check out imgur let us know how it compares to Flikr? I guess new owners/management just killed photobucket?

Have not used Photo Puke for awhile now. Flikr is far superior.

I deleted my account in protest of stupid prices and hijacking this site with the banners. If anyone wants to delete their account here is how to do it. Log into your Photobucket account. Place your mouse on the Profile icon next to Plans (top right), and choose Settings. ... Click the Account tab and scroll to the bottom of the page. Click Delete this account.
I just noticed my avatar is gone also. My new avatar is the second car I owned as a kid.

started doing some clean up. It's going to take awhile to get all the links back up that were on the bottom of the forum page. The ones that are still up are not hosted by Photo Bucket. Hundreds of my photos were hosted by PB which I'll never get around to replacing nor do I care to in fear that flikr and other hosting sites could eventually follow Photo Buckets route. This is quite upsetting considering all of the events that I hosted where I did my best to get as many pictures as I could to share to the competitors and followers here of how things unfolded. The prices PB is asking is more than I want to pay and for that I sincerely apologize to all the members here who enjoyed viewing the archives.

They can change policies anytime they want, but to go backwards and stop what is already out there is crazy. That is exactly why I do not use cloud storage for ANYTHING. The only reason that I use Flikr is for 3rd party hosting. I still have all of my pictures saved on flash drive. No apology necessary Sam.....who could have known a company would resort to this. I am one of those that spends a lot of time in the archives so I will be feeling this one. I think I'm with Vince here. I may lose some early postings, but I will be deleting my PB account. Thanks.

Kdog, I looked at both Imgur and Flickr and found Flickr easier to setup and use. The 1TB free storage is nice too.
Lets hope they do not take the path of Photobucket.
