Some of the cars and bodies are from when I was young. Some of the bodies were originally vibrator chassis and are over 50 years old. I also have some Lionel trains from my youth. Don't throw to much away. Still have the original wife also.

Just picked up some more tools. Just picked up a New digital scale, digital calipers, new pliers & jewelers screw driver set, hobby hammer, tweezers set and a helping hands unit with magnifying glass.
Tool list is dwindling down

2/18/18 UPDATE..
Still looking into the MAJOR Tool List and all the MFG's out there, still need to pull the trigger on the BIGGER Ones like the ARMATURE PINION GEAR & WHEEL PULLER T-JET GEAR REMOVAL PRESS T-JET GEAR INSTALLATION TOOL WHEEL PULLER IDLER POST EXPANDING TOOL
Still looking into whos Tech / Set Up block to go with. Although I am really liking some of the stuff JW's is showing on his site. I have made some more hand tool purchases and did score a sonic cleaner yesterday.
Which by the way I would like some feedback on what a good cleaning solution to use for it is, I have seen people saying basic dish detergent and or simple green with hot water is the ticket, and is a sonic cleaner safe for the armatures?

NC I'm going to say that you could probably narrow that list of pullers down to 2 or 3. I have seen the idler post expanding tool, but honestly have never found the need. I have been able to do everything with a puller, a press, and the pinion puller. I also have a set of pliers that I customized. Would be lost without those. I will post some pics after work today. As far as cleaning agents....you can't go wrong with Simple Green mixed in varying strengths.

Which by the way I would like some feedback on what a good cleaning solution to use for it is, I have seen people saying basic dish detergent and or simple green with hot water is the ticket, and is a sonic cleaner safe for the armatures? I've never cleaned armatures that a way but have had sufficient success cleaning every thing else in a sonic cleaner with simple green & warm water. Also, some pictures of your tool acquisitions would be awesome.

Something I find really useful are magnetic parts trays. Found some nice small ones at O'Reiley auto parts. Tooth picks are pretty handy too. Use them to apply glue, and to put pancake brush springs in place.
One tool I would like to find is some non magnetic tweezers. Installing brushes in pancake chassis with poly magnets can be a challenge, with steel tweezers.

Like those pliers Jeff. My welder would fry any pliers like that. How did you attach the ends?

Figured I try it on a junk one and see whats up with it. As far as pics when I get the posting on how to figured out I will definitely be doing so

Agreed on the parts trays, I have a round and rectangle one also small cutting boards and small sheet pans would work well I think, Tooth pics had been added when I started the tool collection as well as the q tips supply. I also purchased some Tamiya triangle tip swabs #87141 & 87142 found them at hobby lobby and been using those and work REALLY good for chassis holes and tight spaces and don't shred like the regular qtips. Also got a good array of tweezers and pics from harbor freight along with some diamond stones/bits and mini drill bits for the dremels

The heat discoloring was there already with the flattened rounded end as well. They dont necessarily need to be that way to work. A normal set of needlenose could be ground flat and notched in the same way.. All I did to these was notch one side and drill the dimple on the other.
