Hi I've been following your racing for nearly a year. When i found my childhood cars it made me wonder why i ever put them down and haven't cenc .thier is also multiple 1/1 in my collection my hottest one being a 497 inch foxbody . You're car's are very impressive and have given me a great challenge, you all have set the bar very high. My track is tomy with 10'-3 3/4" measured by slot dragon, powered by regulated 18.9v -7A . I have some confusion as to what chassis can be used in the pso . I have built a pancake comp with a t jet chassis, if that can compete I would like to be placed in the shark pool my cars name is the gnomeano its an early afx nomad costumized into an elcamino with afx axles, wheels and arm

Welcome to races Wizzard Gnome, glad to have you join us. Here are the current rules for the Pro Street Outlaw class. They do not include a T Jet chassis but I would not be against T jets being allowed on the list. You would have to check with JJWallace at the Winternationals as he is the Racemaster. Your 1/1 collection sounds impressive a 496 in a Fox body should run well. I no longer race full size but my quickest and fastest was a Beretta with a aluminum 632 in it. It had almost nothing from a stock Beretta in it except headlights, taillights and a grille, weighed in at 2200 with me in it. Ran mid .4s at 150+ in the 1/8th. Below are the updated PSO rules for the remainder of this year. I did add braid and shunts to the rules as being legal. Like nosub mentioned, there are plenty of us that are willing to help make braided pick up shoes for competitors. Just ask. Chassis Build PRO-STREET OUTLAWS AFX/X-Traction & Non-Magna-Traction (updated 07/25/2016) Tires Any slip on tire/wheel combo combination. Double flanged wheels allowed Tire diameter not to exceed .485" max diameter. Tires must not be wider than wheel used. Gears Original top plate gears only. Any crown gear may be used. Gears may be blueprinted. Armature Any factory wound armature. No lower than 5.0 ohm. Blueprinting permitted. No de-winding or timing adjustments allowed. Motor Magnets 2 motor magnets max. Ceramic material only, Dash magnets are permitted. Magnets may be shimmed with non ferrous, non magnetized material. Magnets may be glued into place. Chassis Top plate must be of same mfg. as chassis. Blueprinting is permitted. No cutting on chassis or top plate Only one guide pin. Chassis may be cut for the addition of traction magnets and the relocation of the guide pin to properly fit a car body. Traction Magnets Allowed, no more than 2. Electrical Readily available. Stock or stock replacement. Braid and shunt wires are allowed. Body Body must have doors and fenders. Body mounts maybe repositioned. Only hard plastic, injection molded or resin bodies allowed. Scoops, wings, parachutes etc...are optional. Miscellaneous Wheelie bars and up to 2 traction magnets can be used. Ballast is permitted but must not be visible from the outside of body. OK let me make sure I follow everything correctly. As far as allowing a Tjet chassis to try for the PSO list, that's not entirely up to me. We had talked about that when forming the list and decided against mixing different chassis. I personally would prefer to keep it like it is AFX non MT & MT / AW XT. Now with that being said, I also don't want to push you away from entering the race. It looks like you have answered your own question and are going to build another car for the PSO list and enter the Tjet in the Bracket Race. Is that correct? The 4 lam armature would not be legal as they typically ohm out around 4ohm. The rules that Dave posted are the correct ones. No lower than 5ohm on the armature. All 3 chassis types have run successfully on the list. So pick your poison and build you a bolt of lightning! There are currently 2 cars in the "Shark Pool" at this time. So you will go up against them for a shot at a spot. There may be some open spots due to no shows so the winner....or top two out of the Shark Pool will be guaranteed a spot. We will know for sure on Raceday. Let me know how you want me to sign you up. Welcome to the race!

Sili foams or silicone on a foam tire base are allowed in some classes but not PSO. Mainly because of cost. Slip ons can be glued on and I highly recommend it. I have to say that the 4 lam, 4 ohm arms are not that great for drag racing. I have several of them and they are mediocre. I have quite a few mean green cars that can beat them heads up running the same magnets etc. and my PSO car will murder them, don't ask me why but they seem to lack bottom end and are not that great at the top end either. Maybe others have had better luck. My full size Beretta would not be legal for the current Street outlaw rules as it was all fiberglass and it had a full moly tube chassis. It had 3 nitrous stages but I could not hook up more than one even with those 17" slicks it had. It was a lot of fun to drive and of course a little hairy as I was sideways at 100+ once but I saved it. If you are looking for some tips just ask as all the racers are helpful on this site. I heartily recommend a wheelie bar and some braid on your chassis if you enter PSO. Here is a photo of how I mounted the traction magnets on one of my PSO style cars. Once you put these on a wheelie bar is needed. Notice this is an early AFX car. They work just as good as the newer versions once you put the magnets on. Traction magnet mounting

Winter Nationals Update
19 days.........that's right only 19 days to race day! Roughly two weeks of build/tune time left! Looks like we have a healthy sign up sheet at the moment with 20 cars entered and still more to come. I just found out there will be a group of cars coming from well south of the equator. The New Zealand drag racers will be headed this way and I am happy to have them! I will get them on the list as soon as I get the info.
Only 2 cars currently in the Pro Street Outlaw "Shark Pool" and potentially one more. But there are none in the Four Gear Outlaw. If you as a racer like a building challenge....love competition and speed....then this is where it's at. But you can't be on the list if you don't send a car. List races go on throughout the racing season. So there are always opportunities to move up the list............or down. This is turning into a good sized event and we are going to have a good time. Lots of pictures and commentary and maybe some video. The date is February 23 -24 at Bear Creek Dragway North Texas.
Be There!!

2018 NTRA Winter Nationals at Bear Creek Dragway
We have reached the "two week" mark until Raceday! About a week of tuning left before cars need to be shipped. A reminder to all entries....Please mail your cars so that they will be here no later than Thursday Feb. 22. Racing action begins Friday morning. Don't trust the next day shipping....too many times I have seen that fail. The Bracket Race has grown into an almost 30 car field that encompasses....cars from 3 continents....new drag racers....experienced road racers that are new to drag racing....past racers....and our core group! Guys and gals that is outstanding! It will be a FULL day of bracket racing at it's best. I will do my level best to run a fun and entertaining event. I want each one of you to come back and race with us again and again. We take pride in running an event that is fair to all of the car builders. Cars are handled carefully and as little as possible during the race. The Racemaster and Crew appreciate everyone that has entered!
As for the List races....this will be List Race #1 for 2018. The next race will be at Smoky Mountain Dragway, Knoxville, Tennessee in April. We currently have 3 cars in the PSO "Shark Pool" and no cars in the 4GO Pool. I'm pretty sure there will be at least 2 spots on each list that will be open due to no shows. So just sending a car pretty much assures a spot at this point. Give it a try! It is a fun series that is ongoing throughout the season.
Last is the Match Races. We currently have 9 challenges listed and 7 of those have been accepted. Is there somebody that's had your number at some other races, but you know you can beat them.....maybe you have a new build that you are looking to get some test runs in....or maybe you just have a car you want to show off and flex some muscle in front of the crowd......whatever the reason we have a little room for a few more if you want to step up and make the challenge.
SPONSORS Nitroslots Kdog Racing Eagle Racing Angry Jeff Racing ncdragracer Clyde O Mite

These folks are supporting the event with giveaways that including resin drag bodies, gears, wheels, accessories, promotional items and two fellow racers in the event ncdragracer and Clyde O Mite sending a car and a painted body as prizes!! Thanks again to all the sponsors! SUPPORT OUR SPONSORS
What it all boils down to is...... You can't win it if you are not in it! The Bracket Race is anybody's game. Fast....slow....doesn't matter!!
