Thanks to KiwiDave for the Smoky Mountain race poster
Classes to be run:
Rookie inline stock: This class is for racers who are just getting started. Any stock 6 ohm inline, ceramic magnet, stock gearing, chassis. Slip on tires allowed. No balancing. Wheelie bars and any traction magnets are allowed in all classes. No BSRT, Viper, Wizzard etc. allowed as these are limited or hand built chassis and they have a clear advantage.
NO highly experienced racers allowed.
Rookie class is for anyone who has not competed in our regular heads up classes more than two times, and has not made a final in any heads up class.
Jag DR and TR chassis are allowed in ALL classes. Motor brushes, copper or silver are to be used in all classes except unlimited where anything goes including wet brush.
Veteran Inline Stock - anyone can compete in this class. Same rules as Rookie class otherwise. Rookies can compete but with a different car than they run in Rookie class.
Inline Super Stock: Open to all racers. Braid, gearing changes, any slip on tire. Ceramic magnets, with stock type 6 ohm armature, balancing allowed. Traction magnets up to 2 allowed any size. Shunts are allowed in Super stock and Super comp.
Inline Super Comp: As above except additionally; any chassis allowed, BSRT, Viper, Wizzard, 2.5 arm, Poly magnets and silifoam tires are OK.
Wheelie bars allowed in ALL classes.
Bodies requested: Hard plastic Drag or muscle car. If all you have is a roundy round send it in you will still be allowed to race. Limit 4 cars per class per racer. All classes except PSO will be run at 20 volts, with 30 amps available for EACH lane. Track is scale 1/64 1000' or 15' 7.5"
Postage return mail fee is 8.00 for priority mail and that covers 50.00 in insurance. For additional insurance include extra $. You can usually send up to a pound for that amount beyond that you have to check with USPS.
PSO and 4GO list races will be held right after this event, dates to be announced.

Just curious Dave, will shunts be allowed on the DR chassis in the "Rookie Inline Stock" class? Or would that put it in another class?
Thanks, Gale

No shunts on the Rookie inline stock class, trying to keep it as simple as possible. Frankly I have found limited improvement with shunts. Works somewhat on some cars with no effect on others. Braid on the other hand which is also not allowed in Rookie inline stock, has a dramatic effect on some cars picking up as much as 10 mph and .2 in ET. On others it has only a slight effect. I will be posting some more rules and a sign up sheet right after Jeff's race.

Thanks for the response, Dave. I was hoping to acquire 1 or 2 DR1 chassis in the next couple weeks and send one to your meet. I'm sure it'll just be an 'outta the box' set up but I had to ask cause I saw some pics on ebay that had the shunts. Good to know that it doesn't really matter. Thanks again, Gale

Just did a DR chassis for someone. Turned out well cars really respond to mods. I would suggest that you pay careful attention to the pickup springs and how the pickup attaches to the brush holder. I had some trouble with that part. The one I did for them would not be allowed in Rookie stock but would be able to run in Super stock with all the veterans.

I've been preparing for smsn cenc my cars were in the mail to jj's. The builds began with improvement to my shut down. Plate, dynamic braking, foam baffled box and put it on a incline 4'-8" in total.what kind of times are the 2.5 ohm cars turning in, i just finished a 2.8 ball bearing polymer motor and cobalt traction magnet road car its so fast the fist time i ran it i took shelter, could only time it on road coarse safely, 47' in 3.217 .when i ordered those parts i also picked up motor mags and 2.5 arm from harden Creek.the quick build of a pso and 4go which i should have spent more time on,interupted my 2.5 build .starting the 2.5 build today, first inline drag build any guidance would be helpful (super g + ) .I'll try my hand at posting some pics later ps could you define not for experienced racers, this is my rookie year

Looks great Jeff. Pretty much ready to hold some races. What was that .345 time for? Catch box might need some softer stopping material for faster cars.

I had a similar issue with a TR that I was trying to prep for Jeff's race. Ran out of time due to that and another issue and sent what I sent.

Sorry thought I replied to this all ready, don't see where i have. Would like to host some day,my technology skills are primitive at best. I am working on it. How do you control the starts? The .345 is sg+ poly 2.8 i agree on the foam. In a hurry to get started on builds for your race

Life like as with all other stock production chassis can run in the Inline rookie stock when running 6 ohm armature, ceramic motor magnets and stock traction magnets which can be neo. Wheelie bar and and any slip on wheel allowed. No weight limits etc. for this class. Suggest drag or muscle car bodies if you have them. Was the .345 time on an 1/8th mile?
