Im not sure what the motor mags on the t's are they look to be neo . My stock t's with short road tires are running .450-.480 in the 1/8 . Yes the .345 is in the 1/8 looks like i have .0500 to lose or better. Should be a stable full of rockets looking forward to seeing some fast cars.

.345 will put you in the mid .4s at 1000'. Your cars will run quicker on my track however due to the power supplies and power inputs. .45-.48 will get you into the low to mid .6s on my track. I don't know of any stock car that comes with neo motor magnets, neo traction magnets yes. Neos would slow down any 6 ohm armature. I have a gauss meter and can check the magnetic force on the motor magnets if you like. Stock ceramics range between 500-1200 on the meter. You would be allowed to run Rookie stock with the Ts if they came from the factory with those magnets.

Hi Dave, got a couple DR1's in the mail today . One had the plastic pin broke on the guide pin which is no big deal 'cause they include an extra. But it did make me wonder if a metal guide pin is allowed on the DR1 in the Rookie Class. Could you clarify this for me, please? Thanks a bunch!

I think you will be impressed with those chassis. Metal guide pins are allowed. We want to keep the important parts stock like magnets, armatures. Don't want to go to nuts with rules that have no effect on performance. I Once I had a winning car disqualified because the guide pin was moved and it was not even a stock class. We don't try to do crazy things like that here. If you put a 1 ohm arm in a stock T jet we will most likely say something. One of the best guide pins I have found was where the stock one broke and I replaced it with a small brad cutting it down to size. I have never broke one of those. I also drilled a hole in broken metal pins and did the same thing there. Those also have never broken.

Great idea on the cut brad! Gonna have to give that a try Okay, still buggin' ya ; being a newb, I have questions about the entry fee per car, per class, etc.. Or is it one fee for however many will fit in a 'small priority box', similar to Bear Creek's fee? Thanks again!

Forgot to mention the fee, added it to the entry post. Fee is 8.00 for priority mail and that covers 50.00 in insurance. For additional insurance include extra $. You can usually send up to a pound for that amount beyond that you have to check with USPS.

Just did a DR chassis for someone. Turned out well cars really respond to mods. I would suggest that you pay careful attention to the pickup springs and how the pickup attaches to the brush holder. I had some trouble with that part. The one I did for them would not be allowed in Rookie stock but would be able to run in Super stock with all the veterans. Where the heck have I been?? I totally missed all of this thread! I'm still on the first page here, but I wanted to back you up on this. On my chassis the pick ups were squared off around the brush tube and only had a couple of small contact spots. I got a drill bit as close to brush tube size and rounded them off. Huge difference! This going to be a good race. Looking forward to it!!

Dave, I am working on putting some cars together, and with me being "A Rookie",and my second event (Hopefully)
Are Tomy Super G's allowed as a "certified" allowable chassis, what volt/amp will we be running at,I was searching and couldn't find any track specs

Yes Tomy super G+ chassis are considered stock production chassis. They are a favorite among many racers including myself and have been copied by aftermarket custom chassis makers including BSRT and Viper. Stock motor and traction magnets must be used. Volts for all classes will be set at 20 with 30 amps available for each lane, track is 1000' scale 1/64 or 15' 7.5". I have added that to the rules for everyone to see.
