Already posted pics of these two Daytona's on the Bear Creek thread. But the owner sent two BSRT G3 chassis to put the bodies on. Both BSRT "Club Stock" builds, but one has a Viper 2.5ohm arm in it. Now that bodies are done, it was time to do a little tuning before sending them back to their Illinois owner. I love any excuse to fire up the track.
I was limited as to what I could do with these cars. I was basically giving them a tune up and adapting them to the bodies. I changed the gearing, tweaked the brushes, and added braids a few months back, but chassis were otherwise as BSRT built them. I had to do extensive narrowing of the front and rear wheels. I changed out the front wheels and cut the rear hubs down. Also lots of dremeling on the bodies and I finally shoehorned those little suckers in there. Had to cut the traction magnets to accommodate the tire being pushed all the way in. Cars are running 23t crown / 8t pinion on a .450 stock (yuk) rear tire. They call them hi performance but they are far from it. Cars need silly foams and some more gear work. Last two runs.......Black car is the 6ohm ran .5161et and .5035et w/body.......Silver car is the 2.5ohm ran .4492et and .4492et. The 2.5 car would benefit the most from the silly foams. It would just wheel hop off the line and spin.They both ran fairly well though. That's about all I could get out of them on this trip to Texas. Maybe we will do some upgrades on the next trip:D .
