On the Henry J, the clearance was about that, maybe closer to .015. Anyways I think it was probably just the inconsistency of the car itself. I hope it decides to run decent at your track .
I have had a few cars deslot even with wheelie bars. Another thing you can check is the wheels being out of round. Even the fronts can cause problems there.
