I agree with Al and Jeff. They look superb. I am looking forward to seeing them full of spectators and the cars lined up for the race.

Thanks again guys! Y'all know how it is, you're always wanting it to turn out a bit better than it does .
Here's a picture of the jig I used to make the railings. The copper wire is 18 ga from the local hardware store. The jig is 1/2" mdf scrap, the shallow slots hold the wire pieces in place. Although the "how to" video suggested poster putty to hold the pieces, with less movement than tape, he said. He just drew lines on the mdf where the pieces went. The splotches are from the flux, didn't notice the mdf burning or smoking. I used a soldering station at 750 degrees according to the read out, to get the wire hot enough/quick enough.
The top part of the jig is for some chain link fence I wanna make at different heights for around the pits. I'll try to take more explanatory pictures when I fab those. Thanks for the interest!

Okay, here we go. Making the chain link fence for the first time and it turned out okay . Using 18 ga copper wire as before. Started out making half of the length I wanted because of the size of the jig. The uprights are 1" plus a 1/4" to go in drilled post holes. The top horizontal pieces are half the total length and all the other pieces are cut to fit.
In this picture, half the framework is already made and getting ready to put in pieces for the other half.
Here both halves are completely soldered and getting ready to carefully pop it out of the jig.
This top view shows that it was pretty easy to get straight after popping out of the jig.
Here's a piece of the plastic tulle I cut off. It's normally used for bridal veils and I got it at Hobby Lobby. It comes either 48" or 54" wide and sold for a $1.29 a yard. I bought a yard and have more than enough to do all kinds of chain link fence .
I taped the framework down about every 4.5 inches and only glued that much at a time. Used gel super glue with a toothpick and tried to apply sparingly to the framework. Once that section tacked up, I would fold back the tulle, remove another piece of tape and do the next section and repeat till getting to the end. Then I gave it a light spray of glue set (didn't want to wait). Then I trimmed it with an x-acto knife best I could. Had a couple spots that glued the framework to the bench top but was easy to cut loose.
Pleased with the results . Still need to do some more trimming but hoping that will be easier after it's painted.
And a couple pictures of it just resting on the bleachers. I'm going to paint it silver or gray I think. If I don't like that, it will be easy enough to paint black. I think it turned out pretty cool so far and am real glad I gave it a whirl .

Thanks alpink, a fun project!
A little like Christmas at the mailbox today. Not only did Clive's cars show up for the race, he also sent some goodies for the track . A bag of people, they appear to be very close to 1/64 scale. I've never seen any like these before, they are really cool! He also sent an Ice Cream truck for the concession area, there's a spot ready for it . Thanks a bunch Clive!
Plus I got another package from alpink which had the coolest refreshment stand ever , plus a couple more bags of people . Way cool alpink & Thanks!
Thanks you guys! Very appreciative as this all helps make the track what it will be .

let's have a better look at the people from Clive! I think they are Homies from die cast cars.

I don't have a clue but they are certainly well done and quite the variety! In the pic, the sitting guy in the upper left and the out of focus guy forward left are 1:50 from you. The rest are from Clive which appear to be pretty true to 1:64.
