Thanks KiwiDave!
Put together this timing tower/bldng thingie today.
Looks good, where did you find that? I looked for something similar but could not find any. Timing system looks to be working nicely. Seems the 660 and finish segments are appearing at the same time on the right lane, solder bridge or wiring? I noticed that each segment appears as the car passes the timing cell. That is different from the TrackMate system I have which appear after the run is over. Thanks Dave, if you are talking about the timing tower thingie; I googled a bunch of photos of various ones and found one that would kinda fit my space and tried to duplicate the same look in a graphics program. I'm limited to printing on 8.5x11 so set it up that way. Converted to a pdf and printed it on sticky backed address labels, sprayed it lightly with rattle can satin clear and mounted it on 6mil scrap sintra. I can export the file in various formats and would be glad to share it with you or anyone else that is interested. The main bldng, windows, advertising banners, etc. are all separate components so one should be able to set it up how one would want; just let me know the file extension of the graphics program you use or file extension that you can import. I can send it in a PM or post a link here, whatever. On the timing software; actually it's the 660' & beginning of speed trap sensors that are tripping at the same time. I played & paused a bunch and discovered that the ET's don't show until after the car trips the beginning of the speed trap and then appears to put the 660' ET in both spots .... ?? I'm going to be trouble shooting it some more today and will probably start with changing the pin hook ups on the Arduino board, If it still does the same thing I'll be chasing down some possible RF interference.

Okay, moved the 660' sensor wire from pin # 24 to pin # 33. Ran it a number of times and it consistently timed correctly. Have no idea what was wrong, just glad it was an easy fix . Made another video to share . . . . . . I know, gettin' a little video nutz here, lol.

Looks like you figured it out. Some electrical problems can drive you crazy and I speak from experience. I am pretty sure I can download in PDF. I would sure give it a try as I like the way the tower looks.
Thanks, Dave

Gale your track and attention to detail is some of the best I've ever seen! I like every detail. The drivers station is very cool. I have been enjoying each update thoroughly. Timing system graphics are top shelf too. What else can I say except I wish I was in Washington

Well......I'm flattered but you are inspiring me as well. I appreciate your enthusiasm.......it is contagious! I'm telling you I really like that timing system. What a bargain that is. I already spent the bucks on my Trackmate but man I like the way that one looks. I'm a do it yourselfer so everything you're doing is right up my alley. Keep up the good work.

This is a test to see if this video I been playing around with is accessible here from my storage site.
It was edited using NCH VideoPad, the same software jjwallace recommended. I tried some free trials of some others and VideoPad was hands down the cream of the crop.

My phone downloaded the video from the link and played just fine. Some killer work going on here! Great looking track!

Thanks jbailey! Appreciate the feedback. Glad it downloaded and played okay, I can upload to this storage site a lot faster than you tube so it might get used for some things. Thanks again, Gale
EDIT: Thanks Dave! Definitely check it out. Fun stuff!!

I played with a new action cam I got in the mail today. It's an Eken H9R, just a cheapie, but wanted to check out the slo mo. The first part is my camera phone and the second part is with the H9R. Still toying with the idea of having video for the proxy race in February but thinkin' it won't get posted till later if I do it at all. It's fun goofin' with it though.
Yeah, got another little glitch in the left lane between 660' & the finish. Gonna have to tear into that in the next couple days .

Looks good, sound effects to. Sure like the motor sounds, I am planning on buying a slo mo camera but I will have to learn how to edit, add sounds and commentary.
